传承文明 创造文化——山西将珂罗版复制品应用于壁画保护与传播

摘      要：Of all the high-profile exhibitions held in Beijing in last December, the Exhibition of Ancient Wall Paintings of Shanxi-on view at Beijing Working People’s Cultural Palace and one of the major programs for the Shanxi Culture and Art Week, titled "Shanxi is a Microcosm of Chinese Civilization"-came out as the most eye-catching show. It had instantly unleashed an overwhelming wave of fascination--across the capital area--with Shanxi culture and its mural arts. All the exhibits were collotype reproductions of some of the wall paintings housed in monasteries and burial chambers in Shanxi. Being true to their original size, color and graphics, these collotype facsimiles recaptured the grandeur and resplendence of Shanxi’s ancient wall paintings. This traditional collotype technique makes it possible for these non-movable frescoes-tucked away in seemingly all nooks and crannies of the province--to go out of their temples and tombs into one exhibition hall, where viewers can enjoy and appreciate these otherwise hard-to-see murals-in a neat, all-under-one-roof and simulated arrangement. After the exhibition, Shanxi CPC Publicity Department invited some nationally famous experts and scholars from art and relics circles to attend a symposium on the exhibition.
