摘      要：With the metabolic production of human society and changing lifestyles, higher education comes up new demands for teaching about art and design＇ s specialty. Art and design specialty in university teaching will face significant new reforms. Modernization of teaching of art and design specialty is the comprehensive requirements for all types of talents, it regards improvement of teaching quality and efficiency as the guide and it is the theoretical basis of the principles and policies of higher education in our country, therefore, to strengthen the theoretical teaching of art and design specialty＇ s education, and the emphasis on students professional skills training and cultivation of basic quality become a key reform of teaching theory. This article makes the present situation of effective art and design specialty＇ s teaching in our country and makes deep analysis on how to strengthen the art and design specialty teaching in our higher schools.
