摘要：The linear seat suspension is considered due to the low cost consideration therefore, the optimal linear seat suspension design method can b. used for this purpose. In this paper, the design of a passive vehicle seat suspension system was handled in the framework of linear optimization. The variance of the dynamic load resulting from the vib.ating vehicle operating at a constant speed was used as the performance measure of a suspension system. Using 4-DOF human b.dy model developed b. Ab.as et al., with linear seat suspension and coupled with half car model. A genetic algorithm is applied to solve the linear optimization prob.em. The optimal design parameters of the seat suspension systems ob.ained are kse = 3 012.5 N/m and cse = 1 210.4 N. s/m, respectively.

摘要：This paper presents a part count tool that predicts the part count for a particular product concept during the conceptual design phase. The part count tool will also aid in ranking the design concepts b. the criterion of numb.r of components for a product. This tool utilizes existing automated concept generation algorithms to generate the design concepts. It extracts the availab.e data from the Design Engineering Lab.Design Repository to determine an average numb.r of parts per component type in the repository and then calculates an average part count for new concepts. The part count tool also uses an algorithm to determine how to connect two non-compatib.e components through the addition of mutually compatib.e components. While emphasis is placed on the average parts per product in evaluating designs, the overall functional requirement of the product is also considered.

摘要：The paper presents the Quasi Newton model of Artificial Neural Network for design of circular microstrip antenna (MSA). In this model, a closed form expression is used for accurate determination of the resonant frequency of circular microstrip patch antenna. The calculated resonant frequency results are in good agreement with the experimental results reported elsewhere. The results show b.tter agreement with the trained and tested data of ANN models. The results are verified b. the experimental results to produce accurate ANN models. This presents ANN model practically as an alternative method to the detailed electromagnetic design of circular microstrip antenna.
