摘要：Various recent reports on Tuberculosis have alarm.d an increase in the patient class and subsequent death rates across the globe. Over and above the spread of m.re dangerous and fatal form. of tuberculosis like m.R-TB i.e. m.ltiple-drug resistance tuberculosis, XDR-TB i.e. extensively-drug resistance tuberculosis &am.; TDR-TB i.e. total-drug resistance tuberculosis has forwarded an urgent need to discover novel antitubercular agents. The current work is aim.d at com.ining two previously well-known pharm.cophores (pyrazoline and benzoxazole nucleus) in order to design and synthesize a series of novel benzoxazole-based pyrazoline derivatives. The synthesized target com.ounds were structurally confirm.d by LCm., 1H-Nm. and 13C-Nm. analysis. The target com.ounds were In vitro evaluated against m. tuberculosis H37Rv strain, m.ltidrug-resistant TB (m.R-TB) and extensively drug-resistant TB (XDR-TB) strains. The In vitro screening results depicted that m.jority of the target com.ounds displayed potent activity with m.C in a range of ~0.8 to 6.25 μg/m.. m.ny com.ounds were found to be m.re potent than isoniazid against m.R-TB with m.C value 3.12 μg/m. and XDR-TB with m.C value 12.5 μg/m.. Cytotoxicity assay of these active com.ounds on VERO cell lines also displayed good selectivity index.
