摘要：Objecti.e:The purpose of thi. study was to calculate the prospecti.e ri.k of fetal death i. monochori.ni.-di.mni.ti. twi.s. Study desi.n:We evaluated 193 monochori.ni. di.mni.ti. twi. pregnanci.s that were followed and deli.ered after 24 weeks. Survei.lance i.cluded cardi.tocography and sonography performed at least once weekly. The prospecti.e ri.k of fetal death was calculated as the total number of deaths at the begi.ni.g of the gestati.nal peri.d di.i.ed by the number of conti.ui.g pregnanci.s at or beyond that peri.d. Results:The fetal death rate was 5 of 193 pregnanci.s (2.6%; 95%Ci.1.1,5.9); the prospecti.e ri.k of sti.lbi.th per pregnancy after 32 weeks of gestati.n was 1.2%(95%Ci.0.3%-4.2%). Conclusi.n:Under i.tensi.e survei.lance,the prospecti.e ri.k of fetal death i. monochori.ni.-di.mni.ti. pregnanci.s after 32 weeks of gestati.n i. much lower than reported and does not support a poli.y of electi.e preterm deli.ery.
