A previo.sly develo.ed finite elem.nt pro.ram.was m.dified in o.der to.allo. fo. predicting the sand-fill thicknesses, and have an unders- tanding o. the geo.0}rphic shallo. structures existing pre-sand-fill. The pro.ram.was tested using the o.tained co.e penetro.0}ter test re-sults fro.0}the Lekki-Peninsula area. The finite elem.nt predicted thicknesses sho. go.d co.-relatio. with the penetro.0}ter o.tained thicknesses. Six zo.es with thick sand-fill thick-nesses varying fro.0}1.25 to.6.0m.were identified fro.0}the iso.ach m.ps, these zo.es co.relate with m.jo./m.no. depressio. asso.iated with river/stream.channels and creeks. These are the m.in shallo. geo.0}rphic structural features present in the area pre-sand fill. The structural trends o. the depressio.s are largely influenced by the o.eanic fracture pattern.
