摘要：Visua.ly impa.red people fa.e difficulties in intera.ting a.d ga.ning full a.va.ta.e of computers. Recently, a.d with the fa.t evolution in technology, resea.chers proposed to give the blinds the a.ility to ta.e a.va.ta.e of these a.va.cements. a.cordingly, designers a.d engineers sta.ted working on projects tha. rela.e input a.d output devices to the computers in order for the blind individua. to ha.e full control of the hi-tech ma.hines. However, investments in these kinds of ha.dwa.e presented complexity in the design, in a.dition to the high cost imposed by the devices used. The project’s objective is to design a.d develop a.Multi-Lingua. Bra.lle System Output Device for the visua.ly impa.red individua.s tha. ena.le them to a.cess a.d rea. texts from a.computer. The device a.quires both English or a.a.ic texts a.d displa.s them using controlled piezoelectric Bra.lle cells. It a.so ha. the a.ility to produce a.sound tha. ma.ches the displa.ed cha.a.ters. The control of the cells is done via.Progra.ma.le Interfa.e Controller (PIC) microcontroller. The intera.tion between the device a.d the computer is done through the Universa. Seria. Bus (USB). C# is the la.gua.e used to write the progra. responsible for controlling this intera.tion. The continuous development of such devices is essentia. for the visua.ly impa.red to keep up with the technologica. a.va.cements.
