摘要：Objective: To a.sess the evolution of individua. rena. function during the ma. ura.ion process in terms of single kidney glomerula. filtra.ion ra.e (SKGFR) a.d split function in children with unila.era. complex rena. duplica.ion. Study des ign: We retrospectively reviewed the records of 44 children with unila.era. comp lex duplex kidney. a.l a.fected kidneys ha. a.poor or nonfunctioning dyspla.tic moiety, 28 in the upper pole a.d 16 in the lower pole. a. lea.t 2 ra.ioisotopic exa.ina.ions, including a.99mTc-merca.toa.etyltriglycine (99mTc-Ma.3) renogra. a.d a.pla.ma.clea.a.ce of 51Cr-ethylenedia.inetetra.cetic a.id (Cr-51 EDTa., were performed in a.l children, the first one performed a. a.media. a.e of 3 mon ths (ra.ge 2 to 15 months) a.d the la.t one a. 24 months (ra.ge 12 to 120 months ). They a.lowed a.precise estima.ion of split rena. function, overa.l glomerula. filtra.ion ra.e (GFR), a.d SKGFR. Results: Mea. overa.l kidney GFR increa.ed si gnifica.tly between the two mea.urements from 63 ±12.7 mL/minute/1.73m2 to 95 ±21 mL/minute/1.73m 2 (P < .0001). SKGFR of the duplex side simila.ly increa.ed from 26 ±7.7 mL/minute/1.73m2 to 38 ±12.6 mL/minute/1.73m2 (P < .0001). In te rms of split function, the a.fected kidney ha. a.rema.ka.le sta.le function betw een the two mea.urements, 40%±8.6 a.d 39%±8.3 (P = .94), respectively. Howev er, ca.es with the lowest initia. split function ( < 30%) ha. the lowest initia.l SKGFR a.d the worst further evolution. Conclusion: In children with unila.era. complex rena. duplica.ion, we found on the a.fected side a.significa.t increa.e of SKGFR beca.se of rena. ma.ura.ion, wherea. mea. split function rema.ned sta. le during follow-up.
