摘要：m.dem.packing technology is presented in term. of correlations and criteria for an extensive evaluation of up-to-date packing design used in current m.ss transfer operations. The corresponding basic inform.tion covers the process engineering aspects, e.g. volum.tric effectiveness and optim.m.geom.try of the packing, and the techno-econom.c aspects, e.g. when selecting a packing adopted in practice for a certain application task. The correlations required for this investigation are derived and evaluated on the basis of a com.rehensive experim.ntal re- search by testing and com.arison of m.dem.packings, such as Raschig Super-Rings and reference packings. The results thus obtained are correlated and presented in graphic presentation of diagram., figures and tables.
