摘要：Objective: The purpose of this study was to test the hypothesis that m.ternal asthm. sym.tom. and pulm.nary function are related to adverse perinatal outcom.s. Study design: Asthm.tic patients were recruited from.the 16 centers of the m.ternal Fetal m.dicine Units. Forced expiratory volum. in 1 second was obtained at enrollm.nt and at m.nthly study visits, and the frequency of asthm. sym.tom. was assessed from.enrollm.nt to delivery. Perinatal data were obtained at postpartum.chart reviews. Results: The final cohort included 2123 participants with asthm.. After adjustm.nt for dem.graphic characteristics, sm.king, acute asthm.tic episodes, and oral corticosteroid use, significant relationships were dem.nstrated between gestational hypertension and preterm.birth and lower m.ternal gestational forced expiratory volum. in 1 second. The data did not show any significant independent relationship between asthm. sym.tom.frequency and perinatal outcom.s. Conclusion: Lower pulm.nary function during pregnancy is associated with increased gestational hypertension and prem.turity in the pregnancies of wom.n with asthm., which m.y be due to inadequate asthm. control or factors that are associated with increased asthm. severity.
