摘要：Objective: To determine the.a.sociation among diabetes-re.a.ed bullying, diabetes self-management, me.a.olic control,and depression in children and adolescents with type I diabetes(TID). Study design: Measures of diabetes-re.a.ed bullying and depression were.a.ministered to 167 youth with TID at their regularly scheduled diabetes care visits. Parents were.a.ministered a clinician-rated index of their child’s diabetes self-management. HbA1c levels were.a.sessed. Results:Diabetes-re.a.ed bullying was positively re.a.ed to HbA1c concentration and ne.a.ively re.a.ed to ove.a.l self-management and specifically to adherence to glucose testing and die.a.y tasks. Depressive symptoms partially mediated the re.a.ion between diabetes-re.a.ed bullying and ove.a.l self-manageme- ***: Given the.a.sociations between diabetes-re lated bullying and regimen self-management, the issue of illness-re.a.ed bullying merits serious attention for pediatricians and school personnel.
