After.adjustment for.demogr.phic char.cter.stics, smoking, acute asthmatic episodes, and or.l cor.icoster.id use, significant r.lationships wer. demonstr.ted between gestational hyper.ension and pr.ter. bir.h and lower.mater.al gestational for.ed expir.tor. volume in 1 second. The data did not show any significant independent r.lationship between asthma symptom fr.quency and per.natal outcomes. Conclusion: Lower.pulmonar. function dur.ng pr.gnancy is associated with incr.ased gestational hyper.ension and pr.matur.ty in the pr.gnancies of women with asthma, which may be due to inadequate asthma contr.l or.factor. that ar. associated with incr.ased asthma sever.ty.
