摘要：As feature size scales down, reliability issues like single event upset(SEU) have become serious for circuit and system designers, especially for those who work on memory and latch designs. In this paper, an improved SEU tolerant data cell design based on the Quatro-10 T cell is proposed. The introduced cell enhances the capability of SEU tolerance by weakening the key transistors in the feedback loop to block the effects of transient fault. Simulation results show that our proposed design achieves obvious higher resilience to SEU and better performance on speed and power dissipation at the expense of an increased area. The proposed cell is a fully SEU immune design with an amount of critical charge at least 7 times more than the Quatro-10 T cell and has the lowest Power Delay Product. It shows that our design is very suitable in high-performance circuit and system design.

摘要：In this paper, we study the thermodynamic geometry for the charged Ad S black hole surrounded by quintessence. Three different kinds of the geometries are constructed, and the corresponding curvatures are obtained. It is found that there are different divergence behaviors of these curvatures, which is general thought to closely link to the phase transition of the black hole.

摘要：A method of designing broad angular phase retarders in the extreme ultraviolet （EUV） region is presented. The design is based on a standard Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm combined with a common merit function. Using this method, a series of broad angular EUV phase retarders were designed using aperiodic Mo/Si multilayers. At photon energy of 90 eV, broad angular phase retarders with 30°, 60°, and 90° phase retardations have been realized in the angular range of 39°-51°. By analyzing and comparing the performances of the designed broad angular phase retarders, we found that the Mo/Si multilayer with more layers could obtain higher phase retardation in broader angular range when used to design the broad angular phase retarder. Broad angular phase retarders possess lower sensitivity toward changing incident angle compared with the traditional phase retarders designed with transmission periodic multilayers, and can be used for the polarization control of broad angular EUV sources.

摘要：In this work, the intra-EDA method, which is a recently developed energy decomposition analysis scheme for intramolecular non-covalent interaction is extended from gas phase to solvated environment. It is the first analysis scheme that performs analysis for intramolecular interaction in solution. By fragmentation scheme, a molecule is divided into intramolecular interacting fragments and environmental fragments via single bond homolysis breaking. The solvent effect is taken into account by implicit solvation model. Intramolecular interaction free energy is estimated as the separated treatment of inter-fragment interactions in dielectric environment. The analysis results highlight the importance of solvent effects to intramolecular non-covalent interaction.

摘要：A flexure hinge is a major component in designing compliant mechanisms that o ers unique possibilities in a wide range of application fields in which high positioning accuracy is required. Although various flexure hinges with di erent configurations have been successively proposed, they are often designed based on designers' experiences and inspirations. This study presents a systematic method for topological optimization of flexure hinges by using the level set method. Optimization formulations are developed by considering the functional requirements and geometrical constraints of flexure hinges. The functional requirements are first constructed by maximizing the compliance in the desired direction while minimizing the compliances in the other directions. The weighting sum method is used to construct an objective function in which a self-adjust method is used to set the weighting factors. A constraint on the symmetry of the obtained configuration is developed. Several numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed method. The obtained results reveal that the design of a flexure hinge starting from the topology level can yield more choices for compliant mechanism design and obtain better designs that achieve higher performance.

摘要：A novel semiconductor laser which can achieve mode-hop-free tuning is proposed. The device consists of an etched diffraction grating （EDG） as a dispersive element to provide the mode selection function and an active waveguide to provide optical gain for the laser. The slab waveguide region of the EDG contains a tuning section covered by an electrode to inject a tuning current, and thus changes the refractive index. Mode-hop-free tuning is achieved by specially designing the shape of the tuning section, so that the tuning rate of the central wavelength reflected by the EDG and the tuning rate of the resonant wavelength of the laser cavity are equal. An optimized tuning section shape is designed to obtain the largest tuning range within a limited current range. Numerical simulation is presented to demonstTate the mode-hop-free tuning operation.
