摘要：According to the bio-characteristics of the lower and upper cavity surfaces of dental restoration, a stitching approach is proposed based on a virtual zipper working mechanism and a minimization of the surface total curvature energy, which is used to resolve the stitching problems existing during computer-aided design for dental restorations. First, the two boundaries corresponding to the lower and upper surfaces are triangulated based on the zipper working mechanism to generate the initial stitching surface patch, of which the edges are distributed uniformly between the boundaries. Secondly, the initial stitching surface patch is subdivided and deformed to reconstruct an optimized surface patch according to the bio-characteristics of the teeth. The optimized surface patch is minimally distinguishable from the surrounding mesh in smoothness and density, and it can stitch the upper and lower cavity surfaces naturally. The experimental results show that the dental restorations obtained by the proposed method can satisfy both the shape aesthetic and the fitting accuracy, and meet the requirements of clinical oral medicine.

摘要：A high-performance microring resonator in a silicon-on-insulator rib waveguide is realized by using the electron beam lithography followed by inductively coupled plasma etching. The design and the experimental realization of this device are presented in detail. In addition to improving relevant processes to minimize propagation loss, the coupling efficiency between the ring and the bus is carefully chosen to approach a critical coupling for high performance operating. We have measured a quality factor of 21,200 and an extinction ratio of *** at a resonant wavelength of 1549.32nm. Meanwhile, a low propagation loss of 0.89dB/mm in a curved waveguide with a bending radius of 40μm is demonstrated as well.

摘要：A new reliability-based multidisciplinary design optimization （RBMDO） framework is proposed by combining the single-loop-based reliability analysis （SLBRA） method with multidisciplinary feasible （MDF） method. The Kriging approximate model with updating is introduced to reduce the computational cost of MDF caused by the complex structure. The computational efficiency is remarkably improved as the lack of iterative process during reliability analysis. Special attention is paid to a turbine blade design optimization by adopting the proposed method. Results show that the method is much more efficient than the commonly used double-loop based RBMDO method. It is feasible and efficient to apply the method to the engineering design.

摘要：A 10-channel, 200 GHz channel spacing InP arrayed waveguide grating was designed, and the deep ridge waveguide design makes it polarization independent. Under the technologies of molecular beam epitaxy, lithography, and induced coupler plasma etching, the chip was fabricated in our laboratory. The test results show that the insertion loss is about -8 dB, and the crosstalk is less than -17 dB.

摘要：In order to solve the problem that the quality factor （ Q factor） of the conventional defected ground structure （DGS）is not high and cannot produce a sharp resonant band, a novel S-slot DGS is presented. Compared with the conventional DGS, the proposed S-slot DGS has a much higher Q factor, a quite simpler layout and a steeper band rejection. Its equivalent circuit model is extracted by analyzing the transfer characteristics, and design parameters are calculated according to the deducted equations. Characteristics of this type of DGS are investigated with variable dimension parameters and an experiential method for the design of the S-slot DGS is summarized. Finally, a sample of a compact S-slot DGS unit resonated at 4. 64 GHz is fabricated. Its Q factor is as high as 39. 66 and its size is only 5.00 mm × 1.40 mm, with a steep resonant band and a low insertion-loss passband. The measured results show a good agreement with simulation, which demonstrates the applicability of the S-slot DGS in practical engineering.

摘要：For the data processing of the Rapid Prototyping Manufacturing, Boolean operation can offer a versatile tool for editing or modifying the STL model, adding the artificial construction, and creating the complex assistant support structure to meet the special technical requests. The topological structure of STL models was built firstly in order to obtain the neighborhood relationship among the triangular facets. The intersection test between every edge of one solid and every facet of another solid was taken to get the intersection points. According to the matching relationship of the triangle index recorded in the data structure of the intersection points, the intersection segments array and the intersection loop were traced out. Each intersected triangle was subdivided by the Constrained Delaunay Triangulations. The intersected surfaces were divided into several surface patches along the intersection loops. The inclusion prediction between the surface patch and the other solid was taken by testing whether the candidate point was inside or outside the solid region of the slice. Detecting the loops for determination of the valid intersection lines greatly increases the efficiency and the reliability of the process.

摘要：A novel closed-loop control strategy of a silicon microgyroscope （SMG） is proposed. The SMG is sealed in metal can package in drive and sense modes and works under the air pressure of 10 Pa. Its quality factor reaches greater than l0 000. Self-oscillating and closed-loop methods based on electrostatic force feedback are adopted in both measure and control circuits. Both single side driving and sensing methods are used to simplify the drive circuit. These dual channel decomposition and reconstruction closed loops are applied in sense modes. The testing results demonstrate that useful signals and guadrature signals do not interact with each other because of the decoupling of their phases. Under the condition of a scale factor of 9. 6 mV/（（°） .s）, in a full measurement range of±300 （°）/s, the zero bias stability reaches 28 （°）/h with a nonlinear coefficient of 400 × 10^-6 and a simulated bandwidth of more than 100 Hz. The overall performance is improved by two orders of magnitude in comparison to that at atmospheric pressure.

摘要：A field experiment using a split-plot randomized complete block design with three replications was carried out to determine relationships between spectral indices and wheat grain yield （GY）, to compare the performance of four vegetation indices （VIs） for GY prediction, and to study the feasibility of VI to estimate grain protein content （GPC） in winter wheat. Two typical winter wheat （Triticum aestivum L.） cultivars ＇Xuzhou 26＇ （high protein content） and ＇Huaimai 18＇ （low protein content） were used as the main plot treatments and four N rates, i.e., 0, 120, 210, and 300 kg N ha^-1, as the sub-plot treatments. Increasing soil N supply significantly increased GY and GPC （P ≤ 0.05）. For the two cultivars combined, significant and positive correlations were found between four VIs and GY, with the strongest relationship observed when using the green ratio vegetation index （GRVI） at mid-filling. Cumulative VI estimates improved yield predictions substantially, with the best interval being heading to maturity stage. Similar results were found between VI and grain protein yield. However, when using cumulative VI, GPC showed no significant improvement. The strong relationship between leaf N status and GPC （R2 =0.9144 for ＇Xuzhou 26＇ and R2 = 0.8285 for ＇Huaimai 18＇） indicated that canopy spectra could be used to predict GPC. The strong fit between estimated and observed GPC （R2 = 0.7939） indicated that remote sensing techniques were potentially useful predictors of grain protein content and quality in wheat.
