摘要：We give a brief introduction to the AdS/CFT correspondence and its application to QCD physics,especiallyits application in the study of quark-gluon-plasma (QGP)formed in the relativistic heavy ion collision (RHIC).Thisreview is based on the talks given in several schools and programs for the phenomenologists working on nuclear physicsand particle physics.

摘要：An optimization method for 3D blade and meridional contour of centrifugal or mixed-flow impeller based on the 3D viscous computational fluid dynamics （CFD） analysis is proposed. The blade is indirectly parameterized using the angular momentum and calculated by inverse design method. The design variables are separated into two categories： the meridional contour design vari- ables and the blade design variables. Firstly, only the blade is optimized using genetic algorithm with the meridional contour remained constant. The artificial neural network （ANN） techniques with the training sample data schemed according to design of experiment theory are adopted to construct the response relation between the blade design variables and the impeller performance. Then, based on the ANN approximated relation between the meridional contour design variables and impeller per- formance, the meridional contour is optimized. Fewer design variables and less calculation effort is required in this method that may be widely used in the optimization of three-dimension impellers. An optimized impeller in a mixed-flow pump, where the head and the efficiency are enhanced by 12.9% and 4.5% respectively, confirms the validity of this newly proposed method.

摘要：The stability and boundedness of mechanical system have been one of important research topics. In this paper ultimate boundedness of a dry friction oscillator, belonging to nonsmooth mechanical system, is investigated by proposing a controller design method. Firstly a sufficient condition of the stability for the nominal system with delayed state feedback is derived by constructing a Lyapunov-Krasovskii function. The delayed feedback gain matrix is calculated by applying linear matrix inequality method. Secondly on the basis of the delayed state feedback, a continuous function is designed by Lyapunov redesign to ensure that the solutions of the friction oscillator system are ultimately bounded under the overall control. Moreover, the ultimate bound can be adjusted in practice by choosing appropriate parameter. Accordingly friction-induced vibration or instability can be controlled effectively. Numerical results show that the pro- posed method is valid.

摘要：We investigate the area and entropy spectra of D-dimensional large Schwarzschild black holes. By utilizing the new physical interpretation of quasinormal mode frequency we find that a large Schwarzschild-AdS black hole has an equally spaced area spectrum and an equidistant entropy spectrum; both are dependent on the spacetime dimension.

摘要：This work was focused on the model-based design method of two-axis four-actuator(TAFA) fast steering mirror system(FSM), in order to improve the design efficiency. The structure and operation principle commonality of normal TAFA FSM were investigated. Based on the structure and the commonality, the conditions of single-axis idea, high-frequency resonance and coupling were modeled gradually. Combining these models, a holonomic system model was established to reflect and predict the performance of TAFA FSM. A model-based design method was proposed based on the holonomic system model. The design flow and design concept of the method were described. In accordance with the method, a TAFA FSM was designed. Simulations and experiments of the FSM were done, and the results of them were compared. The compared results indicate that the holonomic system model can well reflect and predict the performance of TAFA FSM. The bandwidth of TAFA FSM is more than 250 Hz; adjust time is less than 15 ms;overshoot is less than 8%; position accuracy is better than 10 μrad; the FSM prototype can satisfy the requirements.

摘要：In this paper, a minimax design of damped dynamic vibration absorber for a damped primary system is investigated to minimize the vibration magnitude peaks. Moreover, to reduce the sensitivity of the primary system response to variations of the forcing frequency for a two- degree-of-freedom system, the primary system should have two equal resonance magnitude peaks. To meet this re- quirement, a set of simplified constraint equations includ- ing distribution characteristics of the resonant frequencies of the primary system is established for the minimax objective function. The modified constraint equations have less un- known variables than those by other authors, which not only simplifies the computation but also improves the accuracy of the optimal values. The advantage of the proposed method is illustrated through numerical simulations.

摘要：With a triple-apex tip, we investigate theoretically the vertical manipulation of single Pt adatom on the Pt（111） surface. The adatom adsorbed on the f cc site of the flat Pt（111） surface can be transferred vertically to the tip by adjusting the tip height properly. Moreover, based on the strong vertical trapping ability and the relatively weak lateral trapping ability of the tip, we propose a simple method to realize a reversible vertical manipulation of the Pt adatom from the highly coordinated sites, the kink and the step sites, of the stepped Pt（111） surface. All the vertical manipulations are completed using only the atomic force between the tip and the adatom, without the electric field.

摘要：Demand for large vibrating screen is huge in the mineral processing industry. As bending and random vibration are not considered in a traditional design method for beam structures of a large vibrating screen, fatigue damage occurs frequently to affect the screening performance. This work aims to conduct a systematic mechanics analysis of the beam structures and improve the design method. Total motion of a beam structure in screening process can be decomposed into the traditional followed rigid translation(FRT), bending vibration(BV) and axial linear-distributed random rigid translation(ALRRT) excited by the side-plates. When treated as a generalized single-degree-of-freedom(SDOF) elastic system analytically, the BV can be solved by the Rayleigh's method. Stochastic analysis for random process is conducted for the detailed ALRRT calculation. Expressions for the mechanics property, namely, the shearing force and bending-moment with respect to BV and ALRRT, are derived, respectively. Experimental and numerical investigations demonstrate that the largest BV exists at the beam center and can be nearly ignored in comparison with the FRT during a simplified engineering design. With the BV and FRT considered, the mechanics property accords well with the practical situation with the maximum error of 6.33%, which is less than that obtained by traditional method.

摘要：A time projection chamber （TPC） readout by gas electron multipliers （GEM） detector is a very promising candidate for the central tracking system of ILC （International Linear Collider）. A prototype is designed and set up in our lab and introduced here. The tests during and after the assembly prove that the prototype TPC has been constructed successfully. It is ready for further study.

摘要：This study presents a new method of 4-pipelined high-performance split multiply-accumulator (MAC) architecture, which is capable of supporting multiple precisions developed for media processors. To speed up the design further, a novel partial product compression circuit based on interleaved adders and a modified hybrid partial product reduction tree (PPRT) scheme are proposed. The MAC can perform 1-way 32-bit, 4-way 16-bit signed/unsigned multiply or multiply-accumulate operations and 2-way parallel multiply add (PMADD) operations at a high frequency of 1.25 GHz under worst-case conditions and 1.67 GHz under typical-case conditions, respectively. Compared with the MAC in 32-bit microprocessor without interlocked piped stages (MIPS), the proposed design shows a great advantage in speed. Moreover, an improvement of up to 32% in throughput is achieved. The MAC design has been fabricated with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) 90-nm CMOS standard cell technology and has passed a functional test.
