摘要：We present a successive projection method for solving the unbalanced Procrustes problem: given matrix A∈Rn×n and B∈Rn×k, n>k, minimize the residual‖AQ-B‖F with the orthonormal constraint QTQ = Ik on the variant Q∈Rn×k. The presented algorithm consists of solving k least squares problems with quadratic constraints and an expanded balance problem at each sweep. We give a detailed convergence analysis. Numerical experiments reported in this paper show that our new algorithm is superior to other existing methods.

摘要：A square-shaped heat flux cloak and a square-shaped heat flux concentrator have been designed the- oretically according to the invariance symmetry of steady state thermal conductive equation. The direction of heat flux in these devices can be modulated as desired. Using the method of coordinate transformation, the inhomogeneous and anisotropic thermal conductivity in the transformation region have been acquired. Two-dimensional finite element simulations were performed to confirm the theoretical results.

摘要：In this paper, the design problem of satisfaction output feedback controls for stochastic nonlinear systems in strict feedback form under long-term tracking risk-sensitive index is investigated. The index function adopted here is of quadratic form usually encountered in practice, rather than of quartic one used to beg the essential difficulty on controller design and performance analysis of the closed-loop systems. For any given risk-sensitive parameter and desired index value, by using the integrator backstepping method, an output feedback control is constructively designed so that the closed-loop system is bounded in probability and the risk-sensitive index is upper bounded by the desired value.

摘要：The load power range of modern processors is greatly enlarged because many advanced power management techniques are employed, such as dynamic voltage frequency scaling, Turbo Boosting, and near-threshold voltage （NTV） technologies. However, because the efficiency of power delivery varies greatly with different load conditions, conventional power delivery designs cannot maintain high efficiency over the entire voltage spectrum, and the gained power saving may be offset by power loss in power delivery. We propose SuperRange, a wide operational range power delivery unit. SuperRange complements the power delivery capability of on-chip voltage regulator and off-chip voltage regulator. On top of SuperRange, we analyze its power conversion characteristics and propose a voltage regulator （VR） aware power management algorithm. Moreover, as more and more cores have been integrated on a singe chip, multiple SuperRange units can serve as basic building blocks to build, in a highly scalable way, more powerful power delivery subsystem with larger power capacity. Experimental results show SuperRange unit offers lx and 1.3x higher power conversion efficiency （PCE） than other two conventional power delivery schemes at NTV region and exhibits an average 70% PCE over entire operational range. It also exhibits superior resilience to power-constrained systems.

摘要：For most legged robots the drive-motors are mounted on the joints of legs, which increase leg＇s mass and rotary inertia. When mounted on legs, the drive-motor has to rotate clockwise and anticlockwise periodically to swing a leg back and forth. Larger inertia of the leg, as well as the ever-changing status of frequent acceleration and deceleration of the motors, limits the moving speed of the legged robots. This article proposes an improved mechanical design to overcome such problems. All the drive-motors are installed on the robot body to reduce the rotary inertia of the legs. Then a crank-rocker mechanism is used to transform continuous rotation of motors to back and forth motion of the leg. With this scheme, the motor may reach higher rotation speed since it drives a lighter leg with no change of the rotation direction. In addition, an elastic tendon is attached to the ankle to reduce the pulse stress on the leg. Kinematics and dynamics analysis demonstrates that the new design enlarges end-workspace, reduces driving torque and increases ground reaction force, which means the new robot has lager stride and higher swing frequency of leg to achieve faster moving.

摘要：Combining the GIS （geographic information systems） grid-based data with four proposed column-based 3D slope stability analysis models, a comprehensive solution of a high-steep open-pit slope has been obtained. For six searching ranges, 19 critical slip surfaces of different sizes have been studied, in which the minimum 3D safety factor is 1.33. Comparison of 3D safety factors of designed and proposed slope plans shows for all the critical slip surfaces for the proposed plan, the smallest 3D safety factor is 1.33 under the most unfavorable condition. This means that the proposed plan of the high slopes, about 600 m, of an open pit （2-5° steeper than designed plan） is feasible.

摘要：There are two different effects to generate group effect and Gires-Tournois effect. Both effects are delay dispersion by multilayer thin film mirrors： chirper employed to introduce desired dispersion in the designed mirror. Thus the designed mirror provides large dispersion throughout broad waveband. Such mirror can be used for dispersion compensation in Ti：sapphire femtosecond lasers. Most group delay dispersion of a 5-mm Ti：sapphire crystal can be compensated perfectly with only four bounces of the designed mirror.
