摘要：A magnetic proton recoil （MPR） spectrometer is a novel instrument with superior performance, including high energy resolution, high count rate and good signal-to-noise ratio （SNR） for measurements of neutron spectra from inertial confinement fusion （ICF） experiments and high power Tokomaks. In this work, the design of a compact MPR spectrometer （cMPR） was evaluated for deuteron-tritium （DT） neutron spectroscopy. The characteristics of the spectrometer were analyzed using 2-D beam transport simulations, 3-D particle transport calculations and Monte-Carlo simulations. Based on the theoretical results, an instrument design that satisfies special experimental requirements is proposed. The energy resolution and efficiency of the spectrometer are also evaluated. The results indicate that the proposed cMPR spectrometer would achieve a detection efficiency and energy resolution of approximately 10？8 and 4%, respectively, for DT neutrons.

摘要：A 10 MeV compact cyclotron (CYCHU-10) has been developing in Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). The RF system includes a 10 kW RF power generator and a resonance cavity. There is no automatic frequency tuning equipment in the cavity due to space limitations, so the generator must search and track the cavity resonant frequency. AD9850 synthesizer is used to generate RF signal in the experimental prototype, and a fine sinusoidal waveform around 99 MHz is obtained with the method of picking up a special aliased signal from the synthesizer's output, and the output power level can be set by regulating the resistor connected to the Pin 'Rset'. The final stage amplifier based on tetrode operates in the grounded cathode configuration, and the schematic of the tetrode circuit is illustrated. The method of searching the resonant frequency is discussed in detail. For the sake of a compact and robust structure, the resonance cavity will adopt non-uniform characteristic impedance coaxial structure, and the magnet surface electroplated with copper will be used as dummy Dees. The precise shapes and dimensions of the cavity are designed and simulation results are carried out in this paper. The distributions of electromagnetic field are illustrated by means of numerical calculation analysis, and the wooden model test is preformed as well.

摘要：A new class of compact and lightweight S-band 1 kW traveling-wave tube (TWT) is being developed for a microwave power module (MPM) that will be used for phased antenna array radar applications. The proposed S-band MPM provides a tenfold peak power increase compared to state-of-the-art S-band MPMs. In this paper, the design of the vacuum power booster TWT part of the MPM is presented. The compact and lightweight S-band TWT is driven by a 6 kV, 0.9 A electron beam. The amplifier is predicted by large-signal simulations to generate over 1 kW at S-band with 25 dB saturated gain and over 40% efficiency. The stability from unwanted oscillations has been investigated. To suppress the oscillations, the helix circuit has been coated with carbon composite material. The coaxial input and output antennas have been fabricated. For efficiency enhancement, a multi-stage depressed collector (MDC) has been designed using a 3D particle-in-cell (PIC) simulator, VORPAL. The collector design makes use of a current loop based on a feedback mechanism for effective design process. The integrated designs of a helix circuit, an electron gun, a periodic permanent magnet (PPM), antennas, and a collector are presented.

摘要：In order to overcome the main drawbacks of coaxial, waveguide, and stripline couplers, the analysis and the design of a compact coaxial-to-microstrip directional coupler convenient for power and antenna control application, are presented using the method of moments (MoM) in two dimensions. This technique is adapted to study the complex configuration of the line’s system, which does not have a simple analytical solution. The modeling of this structure consists in analyzing the primary inductive and capacitive matrices ([L] and [C]). When these matrices are determined, it is possible to calculate the inductive and capacitive coupling coefficients (kL and kC) and estimate the resulting scattering parameters of the coupler using an adapted numerical model. The coupler can be integrated into a printed circuit board (PCB) and operates over 17 to 35 dB coupling coefficients and is always compensated. The compensation is achieved by the proper displacement of a tuning ground plane with respect to the edge of the PCB from 0.1 to 3.3 mm. As an application, we present the design of a compact coupler with 7.5 × 4.8 × 25.8 mm of size and having approximately 20 dB of coupling coefficient at 2 GHz and a minimum directivity of 23.3 dB in the frequency range [0.1 - 4] GHz. In order to check our numerical calculations by the MoM we made simulations in 3D by using CST MICROWAVE STUDIO software for the same geometrical and physical parameters of our designed coupler. The results obtained by the two numerical models (MoM and CST) show a good agreement of the frequency responses of the coaxial-to-microstrip directional coupler. The studied structure represents a great improvement for high power measurement systems, since it has broad-band, good directivity, and can be easily designed and fabricated.

摘要：近年来由于计算机技术在结构优化中的应用得到飞速发展,设计者可以轻松得到优化程度很高的结构设计.但是从结构的极限安全角度来看,这样的优化分析很容易导致结构缺少冗余度.与通常的框架结构不同,空间结构能够在使用少量材料的情况下得到无柱大空间.这样的结构通常会被设计为主要通过构件轴力来抵抗设计荷载,而结构整体则容易表现为脆性行为并趋向于发生脆性破坏.由于主要是通过构件内弯矩来抵抗外荷载,框架结构则趋向于发生韧性破坏.因此我们应当集中更多的注意力到有效率的大型空间结构设计上.对于评价结构是否高效,结构冗余度是一个非常重要的概念,然而很难对此概念本身作出定量评估,而其中结构最大承载力可以作为评价结构冗余度的一个依据.本文将给出一个简单的计算方法(compact Procedure Method)来获得空间结构的极限荷载系数.这个方法基于线性规划法,不需要进行复杂的弹塑性分析便可获得结构的最大荷载系数.通过数值分析与传统的结构分析方法相比,该方法的正确性和有效性得到了验证.
