摘要：A careful study on the integral properties of the primitive hydrostatic balance equations for baroclinic atmosphere is carried out, and a new scheme todesign the global adiabatic model of atmospheric dynamics ispresented. This scheme includes a method of weighted equal-areamesh and a fully discrete finite difference method with quadraticand linear conservations for solving the primitive equationsystem. Using this scheme, we established a new dynamical corewith adjustable high resolution acceptable to the availablecomputer capability, which can be very stable without anyfiltering and smoothing. Especially, some important integralproperties are kept unchanged, such as the anti-symmetries of thehorizontal advection operators and the vertical convectionoperator, the mass conservation, the effective energy conservationunder the standard stratification approximation, and so on. Somenumerical tests on the new dynamical core, respectively regardingits global conservations and its integrated performances inclimatic modeling, incorporated with the physical packagesfrom the Community Atmospheric Model Version 2 (CAM2) of NationalCenter for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), are included.

摘要：In this study, Octagonal Photonic Crystal Fiber (O-PCF) structures are designed for different air filling fractions with fixed pitch length of 2.2 μm. The light propagating characteristics of PCF structures such as effective refractive index, confinement loss, chromatic dispersion mode effective area and nonlinear coefficient are numerically analyzed. The simulation results show that the fibers have dispersion flattened, ultra-low loss highly nonlinear nature in the wavelength region 1.3 μm to 1.7 μm.

摘要：Shielding design is necessary for brachytherapy treatment room in order to protect the general public and employees. The main objective of this study was to investigate whether the protective unit of our Brachytherapy Centre provided adequate protection to the health and safety assessment of radiobiological impact. In this study, we estimated the effect of radiobiological protection from a single Ir-192 brachytherapy source in Brachytherapy center by using MCNP5 Monte Carlo measurements. The room was based on the design specifications for the HDR 192 Ir treatment was modeled. The estimated dose rate range for HDR 192 Ir and public buildings is (0.45 - 0.64): (micro sivert) μSv/hour. Dose rates measured data for the current setup Brachytherapy HDR unit was approved and agreed quiet well with recommendation of International Atomic Energy Agency. The measured dose rate for public areas and controlled areas, compared with the reference value of 7.5 μSv/h and 0.5 μSv/h and concluded that we have enough shielding to the source but an over estimate with experimental measurements had been seen.

摘要：Dual band bandpass filter is designed and optimized for RF wireless applications. The performances of that RF dual band filter are improved especially parameters describing the insertion loss, return losses and rejection. Dual-band bandpass filter using stub loaded resonators is designed and characterized. Theoretical results are compared with experimental data. This comparison shows that the magnitude of reflection coefficient S11 from ADSTM simulation is better than 28.0 dB, and the insertion loss S21 is less than 0.5 dB. The two rejections are also better than 32.0 dB. The simulated results also show that two central frequencies are located at desired 1.82 and 2.95 GHz. Comparison of measured and simulated results shows frequency drift. The main reason for this frequency shifting is due to some uncertainties. These are obviously due to geometrical and physical parameters H and εr respectively of Duroid substrate used during design and measurements.

摘要：In this study, a theoretical analysis of a solar field augmented by a fixed reflector placed in the front between the top of the preceding row and the bottom of the succeeding row is presented. An analytical model has been developed and used to estimate the solar irradiation. The analytical model is based on the anisotropic sky model, assuming an infinite length of collector and reflector rows. A simulation has been carried out in order to figure out the behavior of the solar field and to find the optimum design parameters of the solar field leading to a maximum solar energy augmentation. The results obtained are depicted synoptically as a relationship between the solar field design parameters and the latitude angle, and this presentation enables us to determine the optimum design parameters in order to achieve the intended percentage improvement of solar radiation incident on the solar field rows at any location on the Northern hemisphere, which presents the novelty of this research. Also we have introduced a new parameter named “the effective height of the collector”, which presents the portion of the collector’s height illuminated by the reflector. This parameter is very important especially in case of PV solar fields, because it determines the domain of the concentrated solar energy over the surface of the PV panel.
