摘要：Using 3 sterile lines and 12 restorer of glutinous sorghum as experimental materials,36 hybrid combinations（3×12 NCⅡ） were designed to analyze the combining ability and heritability of six main agronomic traits,including plant height,panicle length,growth period,1 000-grain weight,per panicle grains and per panicle grain *** results showed that except per panicle grain number all other five agronomic traits have remarkable or extremely remarkable general combining ability and specific combining *** agronomic traits were found to be control by additive genetic *** of these agronomic traits are more easily influenced by restorers than sterile lines,suggesting that more attention should be paid to select restores in hybrid glutinous sorghum *** narrow-sense heritability of these agronomic traits were in order growth period plant height per panicle grain weight panicle length 1 000-grain weight per panicle grains.

摘要：In present study, under North Carolina design Ⅱ, 5 sterile lines and 2 restorer lines were analyzed by crossing test so as to study the combining ability, habitability and correlation of each major agronomic characters. The results showed that plant height, panicle length, filled grains per plant, grains per plant, 1 000-grain weight, yield per day, yield per plant by parent gene additive effect, seed set of parent gene additive and the additive effect work together, additive effect played a relatively important role, effective tillers per plant by additive genes of the parents and the additive effect had more consistent effects on offspring traits. General combining ability effect analysis showed that the better parents were P1A and R102. The special combining ability of plant height and panicle length in hybrid rice combination was mainly correlated with the general combining ability of restorer line, whereas not with the general combining ability of parent. For the other 7 traits, if the general combining ability of both parents was higher, the special combining ability of hybrid F1 combinations was also higher. The best combination of special combining ability of 9 traits in hybrid rice was P2 A/R102, followed by P1 A/R102.

摘要：Eighteen clones of Eucalyptus tereticornis （Sm.） were evaluated for three years by adopting randomized block design for various growth parameters at Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India and compared with two checks. Significant variations were recorded for height, diameter at breast height （DBH） and clear bole height （CBH）. The broad sense heritability was low to moderate for both height and CBH. The genetic gain for height and CBH increased substantially pe se with the increase in age of trees. The average genetic gain for thres years was recorded maximum for height （159.60%） followed by DBH （110.97%） and CBH （70.34%）. Clone 17 attained maximum DBH over other genotypes for second and third year followed by clones 14 and 11. Clone 5 showed an upward trend for DBH and maintained its superiority for CBH as the age of the tree increased. Similarly, clone 11 changed its ranking from 9th to 8th to 3rd for DBH and from 9th to 4th to 2nd for CBH, respectively for the age of one, two and three years. Nonetheless, clones 6 and 10 per- formed poorly for all the characters studied. Clones 17, 14 and 5 were found to be the most promising clones for commercial deployment.
