摘要：The energy conversion efficiency of a multistage synchronous induction coilgun(MSSICG) has become one of the key factors that restricts its industrialization. To improve the launch efficiency of medium-and high-velocity MSSICG,we propose an optimization design scheme combining orthogonal experimental design(OED) and self-consistent design method in this paper. The OED is introduced to reduce the number of iterations and improve the identification accuracy and efficiency. A self-consistent design model is established to overcome a defect that the parameters that need to be optimized will multiply as the number of coil stages increases. The influence of six factors(radial thickness of armature, axial length of armature, axial length of coil, capacitance, wire diameter, and slip speed) on the launch efficiency are then evaluated by range analysis. This work presents a valuable reference for optimizing medium-and high-velocity MSSICG.

摘要：For classical orthogonal projection methods for large matrix eigenproblems, it may be much more difficult for a Ritz vector to converge than for its corresponding Ritz value when the matrix in question is non-Hermitian. To this end, a class of new refined orthogonal projection methods has been proposed. It is proved that in some sense each refined method is a composite of two classical orthogonal projections, in which each refined approximate eigenvector is obtained by realizing a new one of some Hermitian semipositive definite matrix onto the same subspace. A priori error bounds on the refined approximate eigenvector are established in terms of the sine of acute angle of the normalized eigenvector and the subspace involved. It is shown that the sufficient conditions for convergence of the refined vector and that of the Ritz value are the same, so that the refined methods may be much more efficient than the classical ones.

摘要：This paper presents a two-level learning method for designing an optimal Radial Basis Function Network (RBFN) using Adaptive Velocity Update Relaxation Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm (AVURPSO) and orthogonal Least Squares algorithm (OLS) called as OLS-AVURPSO method. The novelty is to develop an AVURPSO algorithm to form the hybrid OLS-AVURPSO method for designing an optimal RBFN. The proposed method at the upper level finds the global optimum of the spread factor parameter using AVURPSO while at the lower level automatically constructs the RBFN using OLS algorithm. Simulation results confirm that the RBFN is superior to Multilayered Perceptron Network (MLPN) in terms of network size and computing time. To demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed OLS-AVURPSO in the design of RBFN, the Mackey-Glass Chaotic Time-Series as an example is modeled by both MLPN and RBFN.

摘要：In this paper we develop the orthogonal projections and e-projections in Banach algebras. We prove some necessary and sufficient conditions for them and their spectrums. We also show that the sum of two generalized orthogonal projections u and v is a generalized orthogonal projection if, uv=vu=0. Our results generalize the results obtained for bounded linear operators on Hilbert spaces.

摘要：To effectively harvest vibration energy from pavement without affecting driving comfort and safety, parameter optimization was done with the orthogonal experiment design and the finite element analysis. L16(44) Taguchi’s orthogonal experiments were carried out with planted depth, PZT material, PZT diameter and thickness as optimization parameters and with open voltage and pavement displacement as optimization objectives. The experiment results were obtained via the finite element method. By using range analysis method, the dominance degree of the influencing factors and the optimum condition was obtained for the two objectives, respectively. Further, the multi-objective optimization was performed based on a weight grade method. The combined optimum conditions in order of their dominance degree are PZT diameter 35 mm, PZT thickness 6 mm, planted depth 50 mm and material PZT4. The validity of optimization scheme was confirmed.

摘要：The influence of labyrinth seal structure parameters and their interaction on the characteristics of leakage amount are numerically investigated by conducting a quadratic regression orthogonal experiment. To determine the optimal structure parameters of the steam seal for minimizing the leakage amount, a reliable regression equation that does not lack of fit is established. The flow characteristics of the fluid in the labyrinth seal are analyzed in detail. Results show that the leakage amount is greatly influenced by seal cavity depth, convex platform height, seal tooth thickness, and tooth tip clearance, with the tip clearance having the most significant effect. The interaction among the four items exerts a certain impact on the leakage amount. The proposed regression equation exhibits a good significance and does not lack of fit. After optimization, the labyrinth seal demonstrates increased entropy and energy dissipation at the tip of the seal tooth, as well as decreased speed and inertia effect in the cavity, suggesting that the resistance leakage performance of the optimized labyrinth seal is improved.

摘要：This paper describes the construction and enumeration of mixed orthogonal arrays (MOA) to produce optimal experimental designs. A MOA is a multiset whose rows are the different combinations of factor levels, discrete values of the variable under study, having very well defined features such as symmetry and strength three (all main interactions are taken in consideration). The applied methodology blends the fields of combinatorics and group theory by applying the ideas of orbits, stabilizers and isomorphisms to array generation and enumeration. Integer linear programming was used in order to exploit the symmetry property of the arrays under study. The backtrack search algorithm was used to find suitable arrays in the underlying space of possible solutions. To test the performance of the MOAs, an engineered system was used as a case study within the stage of parameter design. The analysis showed how the MOAs were capable of meeting the fundamental engineering design axioms and principles, creating optimal experimental designs within the desired context.

摘要：We present a successive projection method for solving the unbalanced Procrustes problem: given matrix A∈Rn×n and B∈Rn×k, n>k, minimize the residual‖AQ-B‖F with the orthonormal constraint QTQ = Ik on the variant Q∈Rn×k. The presented algorithm consists of solving k least squares problems with quadratic constraints and an expanded balance problem at each sweep. We give a detailed convergence analysis. Numerical experiments reported in this paper show that our new algorithm is superior to other existing methods.

摘要：With 3D orthogonal and pseudo-orthogonal weaves, woven sructures with lengthwise and widthwise changing cross section on one side or both sides of the structure can be constructed. The weave formation and the looming draft creation are discussed in this paper which can be used as references to manufacture woven preforms with changing cross sections.
