摘要：Fe_2O_3 nanorods and hexagonal nanoplates were synthesized and used as the promoters for Pt electrocatalysts toward the methanol oxidation reaction（MOR） in an alkaline *** catalysts were characterized by scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,cyclic voltammetry and *** results show that the presence of Fe_2O_3 in the electrocatalysts can promote the kinetic processes of MOR on Pt,and this promoting effect is related to the morphology of the Fe_2O_3 *** catalyst with Fe_2O_3 nanorods as the promoter（Pt-Fe_2O_3/C-R） exhibits much higher catalytic activity and stability than that with Fe_2O_3 nanoplates as the promoter（Pt-Fe_2O_3/C-P）.The mass activity and specific activity of Pt in a Pt-Fe_2O_3/C-R catalyst are 5.32 A/mgpt and 162.7 A/m^2_（Pt）,respectively,which are approximately 1.67 and 2.04 times those of the Pt-Fe_2O_3/C-P catalyst,and 4.19 and 6.16 times those of a commercial PtRu/C catalyst,*** effects between Fe_2O_3 and Pt and the high content of Pt oxides in the catalysts are responsible for the *** findings contribute not only to our understanding of the MOR mechanism but also to the development of advanced electrocatalysts with high catalytic properties for direct methanol fuel cells.

摘要：The electronic metal-support interaction(EMSI)is one of most intriguing phenomena in heterogeneous *** this work,this subtle effect is clearly demonstrated by density functional theory(DFT)calculations of single Pt atom supported on vacancies in a boron nitride ***,the relation between the EMSI and the performance of Pt in propane direct dehydrogenation(PDH)is investigated in *** charge state and partial density of states of single Pt atom show distinct features at different anchoring positions,such as boron and nitrogen vacancies(Bvac and Nvac,respectively).Single Pt atom become positively and negatively charged on Bvac and Nvac,***,the electronic structure of Pt can be adjusted by rational deposition on the ***,Pt atoms in different charge states have been shown to have different catalytic abilities in *** DFT calculations reveal that Pt atoms on Bvac(Pt-Bvac)have much higher reactivity towards reactant/product adsorption and C–H bond activation than Pt supported on Nvac(Pt-Nvac),with larger adsorption energy and lower barrier along the reaction ***,the high reactivity of Pt-Bvac also hinders propene desorption,which could lead to unwanted deep ***,the results obtained herein suggest that a balanced reactivity for C–H activation in propane and propene desorption is required to achieve optimum *** on this descriptor,a single Pt atom on a nitrogen vacancy is considered an effective catalyst for ***,the deep dehydrogenation of the formed propene is significantly suppressed,owing to the large barrier on *** current work demonstrates that the catalytic properties of supported single Pt atoms can be tuned by rationally depositing them on a boron nitride nanosheet and highlights the great potential of single-atom catalysis in the PDH reaction.

摘要：The development of highly potential electrocatalysts for acidic water electrolysis is particularly desirable for many energy‐related ***,we demonstrated a versatile strategy to activate and stabilize RuO_(2)‐based electrocatalyst for acidic water splitting by a trace of Pt,where Pt plays an essential role in promoting oxygen evolution reaction(OER),and can simultaneously act as the active site for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Compared with pure Ru oxide nanosheet assemblies(Ru ONAs),the“5%Pt‐containing”Ru ONAs(5%Pt‐Ru ONAs)achieve much enhanced OER activity in 0.5 and 0.05 mol/L H_(2)SO_(4),with much lower overpotentials of 227 and 234 mV at 10 mA cm^(‒2),*** and theoretical analyses reveal that the atomically dispersed Pt incorporating into RuO_(2)lattice is conducive to increasing the concentration of O vacancies,which effectively enhances the interaction with reaction intermediate and thus lowers the energy barrier for the formation of OOH*.Moreover,benefited from the presence of Pt,the formation of RuO_(2)is more achievable when proper annealing is *** addition to OER,due to the presence of active Pt,the HER performance of 5%Pt‐Ru ONAs can also be ensured,thereby realizing efficient acidic overall water ***,the excellent activity can also be achieved without sacrificing *** work highlights an attractive strategy for designing active and stable RuO_(2)‐based electrocatalysts for acidic overall water splitting.

摘要：A facile design of Pt nanostructures from submonolayer to monolayer has been realized by ion adsorption-in situ electrochemical reduction on Au nanoparticles supported on multiwall carbon nanotubes （CNTs）. The as prepared Au@Pt/CNTs catalysts display coverage-specific electrocatalysis. Au@Pt/CNTs with low Pt coverage is inactive towards methanol oxidation whereas it oxidizes formic acid effectively through a direct pathway with mass specific activity 90 times that of a commercial Pt/C catalyst. Due to its inertness to methanol, it shows high performance in the oxygen reduction reaction （ORR） with high methanol tolerance. In contrast, simply increasing the Pt coverage to above 40% switches the formic acid oxidation process to both direct and indirect catalytic pathways, and also results in high methanol oxidation activity.
