摘要：The performance of multiple signal classification （MUSIC） algorithm with regard to solving closely spaced direction of arrivals （DOAs） depends strongly upon the signal-to-noise ratio （SNR） and snapshots. In order to solve this problem, a method by reconstructing the spatial spectrum function with both noise subspace and signal subspace is presented in this paper. The key idea is to apply the full information contained in covariance matrix and change the projection weights of steering vector on the noise and signal subspace by their revised eigenvalues, respectively. Comparing with the MUSIC algorithm, it does not increase any computational complexity either, and remarkably, it has the advantages of simultaneously reducing noise and keeping the high-resolution ability under low SNR and small sample sized scenarios. Simulation and experiment results are included to demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed algorithm.

摘要：The resolution of seismic data is critical to seismic data processing and the subsequent interpretation of fine structures. In conventional resolution improvement methods, the seismic data is assumed stationary and the noise level not changes with space, whereas the actual situation does not satisfy this assumption, so that results after resolution improvement processing is not up to the expected effect. To solve these problems, we propose a seismic resolution improvement method based on the secondary time-frequency spectrum. First, we propose the secondary time-frequency spectrum based on S transform （ST） and discuss the reflection coefficient sequence and time-dependent wavelet in the secondary time frequency spectrum. Second, using the secondary time frequency spectrum, we design a two- dimensional filter to extract the amplitude spectrum of the time-dependent wavelet. Then, we discuss the improvement of the resolution operator in noisy environments and propose a novel approach for determining the broad frequency range of the resolution operator in the time- fi＇equency-space domain. Finally, we apply the proposed method to synthetic and real data and compare the results of the traditional spectrum-modeling deconvolution and Q compensation method. The results suggest that the proposed method does not need to estimate the Q value and the resolution is not limited by the bandwidth of the source. Thus, the resolution of the seismic data is improved sufficiently based on the signal-to-noise ratio （SNR）.

摘要：This paper reports the design and cold test of the cavity beam position monitor （CBPM） for SX-FEL to fulfill tile requirement of beam position measurement resolution of less than 1 p_m, even 0.1 btm. The CBPM was optimized by using a coupling slot to damp the TM010 mode in the output signal. Tile isolation of TM01o mode is about 117 dB, and the shunt impedance is about 200 ~@4.65 GHz with the quality factor 80 from MAFIA simulation and test result. A special antenna was designed to load power for reducing excitation of other modes in the cavity. The resulting output power of TM110 mode was about 90 mV/mm when the source was 6 dBm, and the accomplishable minimum voltage was about 200 btV. The resolution of the CBPM was about 0.1 btm from the linear fitting result based on the cold test.

摘要：The CBPM is a kind of monitor which is used for the measurement of beam transverse position. It is becoming increasingly popular due to its high potential in resolution performance. In theory, the resolution can reach about 1 nanometer. In this paper, a rectangular CBPM is designed for it has better X-Y isolation than a cylindrical one. It has been simulated and measured, and the results agree with each other very well. The procedures and results for the simulation and the cold test will be shown later and it will be proved that this is a reliable method for the CBPM design.

摘要：A successful qualitative and quantitative analysis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in air-borne particulates in Hong Kong City has been carried out by the heuristic evolving latent projection (HELP) method recently developed in chemometrics. The resolution result showed that 47 compounds were involved in this sample. Eighteen of them were interesting PAHs and/or their derivatives. The result agreed very well with the one obtained by capillary column GGMS. The resolved UV-visible spectra match well with the standards. With the help of HELP method, accurate quantitative results were also obtained for all the overlapping peaks. The separation ability of chromatography is greatly enhanced by chemometric methods. The HELP method provides a completely new way for quick and accurate analysis of the two-dimensional data produced by hyphenated chromatographic instruments.

摘要：An S-band cavity BPM is designed for a new injector in National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory. A re-entrant position cavity is tuned to the TM110 mode as position cavity. Cut-through waveguides are used as pickups to suppress the monopole signal. Theoretical resolution of this design is 31 nm. A prototype cavity BPM system is manufactured for off-line cold tests. The wire scanning method is used to calibrate the BPM and estimate the performance of the on-line BPM system. A cross-talk problem has been detected during the cold test. Racetrack cavity BPM design can be used to suppress the cross-talk. With the nonlinear effect being ignored, transform matrix can be used to correct cross-talk. Analysis of cold test results shows that the position resolution of prototype BPM is better than 3 μm.
