摘要:In this paper,the researcher examines lessons from massive open online courses(MOOCs)in the liberal art in a *** intends to define a research agenda into the social epistemology impact of MOOCs,in order to reflect on changes in academic sub-culture and on learning measurement among students in *** this reason the researcher suggests focusing attention on three features of MOOC phenomenology:MOOCs as a social epistemology—an active policy initiative to promote greater democratization of education;MOOCs as a medium and an academic sub-cultural artifact(mediated texts,videos,interface,platform functionalities)able to convey learning to distant learners;and,lastly,MOOCs as a measurement—in other words as instrumentation(i.e.,learning statements,analytics,algorithms,visualizion tools,dashboards etc.)that allows students to monitor,analyze,and optimize the effectiveness of online teaching and *** paper also highlights their limits in these regards based on the perspectives of social epistemology.

摘要:This study examined the smartphone and social media addiction among Generation Z. A survey was completed by a non-random sample of 415 students at State University of New York in Oneonta during the academic year 2017-2018. The results revealed that almost all Gen Zers (99%) own a smartphone, and 98% of them use their smartphones to connect to the Internet most of the time. More than half of Gen Zers spend 9 hours or more in a typical day using their smartphones, and nearly half of them spend 3-8 hours per day on their smartphones. With regard to the use of social media, more than half of Gen Zers accessed various social media several times a day, while nearly 1 in 5 admitted accessing social media every hour of the day. As for the amount of time devoted to social media, nearly one-third of the students admitted using social media for 7-10 hours per day, and slightly less than one-third of the students spent 5-6 hours per day on social media. With regard to Generation Z’s perception of their addiction to smartphone and social media, 4 in 5 students admitted that they were spending an excessive amount of time on the Internet, and two-thirds believed that they were spending too much time on social media. Furthermore, 7 in 10 students admitted that they were addicted to the Internet, and nearly two-thirds believed they were addicted to social media. These findings may have significant implications for counseling and intervention for parents, educators, and policy makers.
摘要:哈耶克与诺思,是影响当代人们思想认识的两大思想家和诺贝尔经济学奖得主。他们均是从大范围人类社会演变历史来构建他们的理论观点的。在哈耶克的经济社会理论中,他一直主张人类社会的经济秩序和社会制度是不能理性设计出来的,而是自发演化生成的;但他另一方面又相信任何一种social orders都是建立在一定的ideology之上,并在晚年的著作中提出要为西方各国设计一个双议会机构的政制体制设想。这就构成了哈耶克思想理论体系中的哈耶克矛盾。在诺思的社会制度变迁理论中,诺思一方面提出国家的存在是经济增长的关键;然而,国家又被认为经济衰退的根源。诺思认为,其原因在于,对于任何一个国家的统治者来说,租金最大化和税收最大化是不可兼得的。因而,“在使统治者(和他的集团)租金最大化的所有权结构与降低交易费用和促进经济增长的有效的体制之间,存在着持久的冲突”。这就是诺思的著名的“国家的悖论”,或称“诺思悖论”。如何认识“哈耶克矛盾”和“诺思悖论”?这是当代经济社会理论中一个有待澄清的重要理论问题。尽管存在着“哈耶克矛盾”和“诺思悖论”,但哈耶克和诺思在人类社会演化变迁大方向的认识和理论主张上却是一致的,即他们都主张一个私有财产、自由选择、自由贸易、有限政府和法治化的市场经济制序。宗教信仰和社会观念体系在人类社会变迁过程中的作用,我们同样不可忽视。
摘要:Designing technologies is a process that relies on multiple interactions between design and use contexts. These interactions are essential to the development and establishment of technologies. This article seeks to understand the attempts of healthcare organisations to integrate use contexts into the design of healthcare technologies following insights of the theoretical approaches of social learning and user representations. We present a multiple case study of three healthcare technologies involved in improving elderly care practice. These cases were part of a Dutch quality improvement collaborative program, which urged that development of these technologies was not “just” development, but should occur in close collaboration with other parts of the collaborative program, which were more focused on implementation. These cases illustrate different ways to develop technologies in interaction with use contexts and users. Despite the infrastructure of the collaborative program, interactions were not without problems. We conclude by arguing that interactions between design and use are not naturally occurring phenomena, but must be actively organised in order to create effects.
摘要:Background: Designing a need-based social protection intervention for children comes as comprehensive tool for addressing the overall quality of life of HIV positive children. Not much has been examined on what constitute the desired social protection framework for HIV positive children. Methods: This study was informed by a qualitative descriptive exploratory design approach. The study drew insights from the shared perspectives of 27 participants sampled from positive HIV status disclosed children—10 - 17 years, healthcare workers, social and Development worker, HIV positive caregivers and parents from 7 ART clinics in rural and urban Brong Ahafo and Ashanti regions of Ghana. Data was collected through interviews and two focus group discussions with study participants. Drawing on the emerged themes from the transcripts, thematic content analysis was used to analyze the data using comparative thematic framework approach. Findings: The eclectic perspectives on the type of social protection policy/intervention preferred demonstrated the need for an interrelated and integrated social protection policy. This should not be designed in isolation towards addressing the child vulnerability. The study found that social protection policies aimed at addressing vulnerability levels of children should consider the dual vulnerability situation within which HIV positive children and adolescents are located. A set of unique specific tailored approach and package reflecting minimum combination social protection package to HIV positive children was considered essential for inclusion. The themes that emerged covered social policy/intervention package inclusive of a disease ending/eradication intervention package, cash transfer for children and their caregivers, free comprehensive health insurance integrating all consultancy and laboratory services charges, direct food supplements supply and nutritional support, research, target specified with evidenced-based monitoring.
