摘要：software architecture design is a critical step of software development. Currently, there are various design methods available and each is focusing on certain perspective of architecture design. Especially, quality-based methods have received a lot of attentions and have been well developed for single system architecture design. However, the use of quality-based design methods is limited in software product line (SPL) because of the complexity and variabilities existing in SPL architecture. In this paper, we introduce an extra view to the Quality-Driven Architecture Design and quality Analysis (QADA) method, in order to provide a more effective quality-based architecture design framework for SPL. In this framework, the quality attributes of a software system will be taken into account in the early stage of architecture design and the reference architecture of SPL will be elicited based on quality-related consideration.

摘要：It has been well-documented that the software architecture of any system plays a critical role in success or failure of software intensive systems. In this paper, a method has been proposed to evaluate the software architecture’s fitness with respect to key quality attributes for a web-based system. To the end, a comparative analysis based on quality attributes scenarios and tactics is carried out to select an optimal software architecture that meets the system level requirements of a web-based system, namely, Student and Course Evaluation System (SCES). The comparative study was driven by study of quality attributes and tactics with the selected architectures to select the optimal one.

摘要：In this paper, it is emphasized that taking into consideration of imperfection of knowledge, of the team of the designers/developers, about the problem domains and environments is essential in order to develop robust software metrics and systems. In this respect, first various possible types of imperfections in knowledge are discussed and then various available formal/mathematical models for representing and handling these imperfections are discussed. The discussion of knowledge classification & representation is from computational perspective and that also within the context of software development enterprise, and not necessarily from organizational management, from library & information science, or from psychological perspectives.

摘要：This paper presents a holistic methodology for the design of medical device software, which encompasses of a new way of eliciting requirements, system design process, security design guideline, cloud architecture design, combinatorial testing process and agile project management. The paper uses point of care diagnostics as a case study where the software and hardware must be robust, reliable to provide accurate diagnosis of diseases. As software and software intensive systems are becoming increasingly complex, the impact of failures can lead to significant property damage, or damage to the environment. Within the medical diagnostic device software domain such failures can result in misdiagnosis leading to clinical complications and in some cases death. software faults can arise due to the interaction among the software, the hardware, third party software and the operating environment. Unanticipated environmental changes and latent coding errors lead to operation faults despite of the fact that usually a significant effort has been expended in the design, verification and validation of the software system. It is becoming increasingly more apparent that one needs to adopt different approaches, which will guarantee that a complex software system meets all safety, security, and reliability requirements, in addition to complying with standards such as IEC 62304. There are many initiatives taken to develop safety and security critical systems, at different development phases and in different contexts, ranging from infrastructure design to device design. Different approaches are implemented to design error free software for safety critical systems. By adopting the strategies and processes presented in this paper one can overcome the challenges in developing error free software for medical devices (or safety critical systems).

摘要：The case study presented here uses an interpretivist (qualitative, humanistic) approach to illustrate and describe a range of interactions and behaviors that occur during design meetings where mentoring and design simultaneously occur within a software engineering firm, during a portion of the design phase for a software project. It attempts to examine the interaction between two design team members (one novice and one expert) and describes how these observations intersect with the theoretical and applied literature and actual design processes. Taking cues from two theoretical descriptions of the design process, the study presented here suggests that modes and models of mentorship should be added, when applicable, as a descriptive portion of the design process.

摘要：Power flow analysis is a numerical way of study of behavior of flow of electric power in an interconnected system. In order to meet the growing demands of electrical energy in an optimum way, there is a need to upgrade existing systems or to install new systems. Therefore, planning of new installations and determination of best operating conditions of existing systems need power flow analysis. In this way, cost/benefit ratio for both suppliers and customers is maintained. This research involves the design and power flow analysis of IEEE-14 bus system. Newton Raphson method is applied for better efficiency and reduced computational time. Simulation analysis is conducted in ETAP software because of its excessive used in real life systems.

摘要：This paper presents the design of a computational software system that enables solutions of multi-phase and multi-scale problems in mechanics. It demonstrated how mechanicians can design “process-driven” software systems directly, and that such efforts are more suitable in solving multi-phase or multi-scale problems, rather than utilizing the “data-driven” approaches of legacy network systems. Specifically, this paper demonstrates how this approach can be used to solve problems in flexible dynamics. Then it suggests a view of mechanics algorithms as ‘state equilibrium’ enforcers residing as servers, rather than as computer programs that solve field equations. It puts forth the need for identical input/output files to ensure widespread deployment on laptops. Then it presents an assessment of the laptop platform. A software system such as the one presented here can also be used to supply virtual environments, animations and entertainment/education software with physics.

摘要：This paper is concerned with the optimization of the workforce scheduling for solving maintenance problems. To achieve this aim an optimsation software for (5, 7) problem was developed. The programme was written in Quick Basic. The software was designed to produce a seven day schedule for organization operating a seven day week. Hence organization operating a five day schedule wishing to change to a seven day schedule we find this software very useful. The Quick-Basic computer programme was based on Alfares [1, 2] algorithm for solving (5,7) schedule problem. Data collected from Afam power station, Nigeria was used as input data. The test result shows the software is capable of determining workforce size and assigning workers to day-off pattern. The seven-day schedule produced savings of 11% maintenance labour cost when compared with the 5-day schedule currently being practiced by the Power station [3].

摘要：Design patterns are object oriented software design practices for solving common design problems and they affect software quality. In this study, we investigate the relationship of design patterns and software defects in a number of open source software projects. Design pattern instances are extracted from the source code repository of these open source software projects. software defect metrics are extracted from the bug tracking systems of these projects. Using correlation and regression analysis on extracted data, we examine the relationship between design patterns and software defects. Our findings indicate that there is little correlation between the total number of design pattern instances and the number of defects. However, our regression analysis reveals that individual design pattern instances as a group have strong influences on the number of defects. Furthermore, we find that the number of design pattern instances is positively correlated to defect priority. Individual design pattern instances may have positive or negative impacts on defect priority.

摘要：Human computer interaction (HCI) and software engineering approaches are always taken into the account together in order to make the well-organized software. Interactive design is the significant part of new media which has been proposed to the world for the past decades, and it is a very proficient technique. Interactive maps add more dimensions of information;they become a more and more helpful tools and resources. This research clarifies the idea of how we can smooth the progress of presenting and communicating the essential information using interactive manner. The interactive map of Bangkok underground train and sky train navigation routes map was developed as the case study using user-centered design (UCD) methodology as the fundamental developing processes. The main objective of the work is to develop the friendly and usable web based software that reduce the confusion and help users save times. The software developing processes in this work tend to focus on the users. And also the essential idea of the research is to take the uses and gratification communication theory of the users into account with the intention of providing what user requires by finding the real users’ requirements. This means the user can control software according to their needs and software act or response according to user’s requests. The paper mentions the role of communication theory, human computer interaction, and user-centered design software developing.
