摘要：An assessment of the role of Art as a resource for learning and development of the child has become necessary now that education appears to be the yearning of all especially in the developing countries. This paper seeks to assess the role of Art in learning and development of a child. The paper stresses that the child needs Art to learn because children＇s attention is drawn first by pictures （Art works） before letters of Alphabet. According to the paper, children become more knowledgeable and creative as they participate in Art classes where they are given opportunities to express themselves while engaging in drawing and painting exercises. This leads to self-discovery and development in children. By this, entrepreneurial spirit is also imbibed. The paper also notes that children who would not ordinarily want to learn have found pleasure in learning with Art and computer. Here the use of cartoons and animations become appropriate in teaching the child. children also become more adventurous and creative as they find pleasure in drawing with application software like Corel Draw, Microsoft Paint, and so on. Finally, the paper emphasizes the need for Art to be wholly infused in the curricular of schools especially the primaries. This will be a strong factor or agent of development in children. Here the creative and inventive spirit so developed and imbibed will lead to discoveries of future entrepreneurs, industrialists and technologists for national developments.

摘要：OBJECTIVE: To study the potential and advantages of internal distraction osteogenesis in mandibular functional reconstruction. METHODS: Three types of mandibular distractors were used in eight patients with various mandibular defects due to tumor or cyst resection. The average age of the patients was 31.5 years old (ages ranged from 8 to 54 years). For two patients with ramus defects, specially designed distractors were used to restore the normal ramus height. In two other patients, specially designed trifocal distractors were used. In three patients, vertical distractors were used. RESULTS: All the mandibles were successfully reconstructed in accordance with the direction and distance designed before operation except in one patient. In that patient the distal 23 mm defect failed to be corrected because of loosening of transport block fixation screws. CONCLUSIONS: Mandibular defects can be successfully corrected using internal distraction osteogenesis. Performing mandibular reconstruction using distraction osteogenesis is best done at the time of tumor or cyst resection.

摘要：Objective To examine the resilience of parents of children with congenital heart disease and to investigate socio-demographic factors that may influence parents’*** This is a web-based survey study using a cross-sectional design.A purposive sampling method was utilized to recruit 515 parents who care for children with congenital heart *** was assessed using the Dispositional Resilience Scale-Ⅱ.Based on expert-interviews,a questionnaire was designed to collect socio-demographic *** statistics,factor analysis,and linear regressions were used to analyze *** A total of 413 parents completed the survey *** mean resilience score was 3.75(SD=0.61;range=1.89–4.89)with higher scores indicating higher *** linear regression models demonstrated that parents who had lower education levels and lower gross household income had lower resilience(P<0.05).Conclusions Parents reported resilience that reflected their ability to cope with stressful events and mitigate stressors associated with having and caring for children with congenital heart *** education levels and lower gross household income are associated with lower *** increase parents’resilience,nursing practice and nurse-led interventions should target screening and providing support for parents at-risk for lower *** lower education level and financial hardship are factors that are difficult to modify through personal efforts,charitable foundations,federal and state governments should consider programs that would provide financial and health literacy support for parents at-risk for lower resilience.

摘要：Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of treating infantile diarrhea due to spleen deficiency with five-step pediatric tuina of Huxiang ***:Using a randomized controlled trial design,sixty eligible kids with diarrhea due to spleen deficiency were randomized into an observation group and a control group,with 30 cases in each *** observation group was intervened by the five-step pediatric tuina method of Huxiang school,and the control group received conventional tuina *** intervention was conducted once a day,consecutive 5-day treatment as 1 course,at a 2-day interval between courses,successively for a total of 4 *** in the primary and secondary symptoms of diarrhea due to spleen deficiency were observed,and the clinical efficacy was ***:After treatment,the scores of primary and secondary symptoms and the general score of diarrhea due to spleen deficiency were improved;the improvements in fecal form and frequency,decreased appetite,bloating after meals and fatigue and sluggishness were more significant in the observation group than in the control ***:The five-step pediatric tuina method of Huxiang school and conventional tuina both can improve the primary and secondary symptoms in infantile diarrhea due to spleen deficiency,while the former one can produce more significant efficacy.

摘要：The purpose of this article is to highlight the importance of parent involvement and intervention in early childhood education. What formulates the lock and key theory in early childhood programs is parental participation versus educational achievement. Upon the parents＇ vital involvement, it is perceived that social and cognitive development, aided by educators, will be significantly achieved. Furthermore, parent＇s early intervention is an added value to classrooms and schools, for it creates a dimension of involvement in the decisions which shape the children＇s education as a whole. Moreover, and due to parent/teacher cooperation in the classroom and at home, the child＇s interest in learning will be triggered, yielding other positive outcomes. Therefore, people must emphasize the parent＇s role in order to aid children＇s complex and evolving multi-cultural and global nature.
