摘要：The aim of the electron microscopy image classification is to categorize the projection images into different classes according to their similarities. Distinguishing images usually requires that these images are Migned first. However, alignment of images is a difficult task for a highly noisy data set. In this paper, we propose a translation and rotation invariant based on the Fourier transform for avoiding alignment. A novel classification method is therefore established. To accelerate the classification speed, secondary-classes are introduced in the classification process. The test results also show that our method is very efficient and effective. classification results using our invariant are also compared with the results using other existing invariants, showing that our invariant leads to much better results.

摘要：In very short time today web has become an enormously important tool for communicating ideas, conducting business and entertainment. At the time of navigation, web users leave various records of their action. This vast amount of data can be a useful source of knowledge for predicting user behavior. A refined method is required to carry out this task. Web usages mining (WUM) is the tool designed to do this task. WUM system is used to extract the knowledge based on user behavior during the web navigation. The extracted knowledge can be used for predicting the users’ future request when user is browsing the web. In this paper we advanced the online recommender system by using a Longest Common Subsequence (LCS) classification algorithm to classify users’ navigation pattern. classification using the proposed method can improve the accuracy of recommendation and also proposed an algorithm that uses LCS method to know the user behavior for improvement of design of a website.

摘要：ANNs （Artificial neural networks） are used extensively in remote sensing image processing. It has been proven that BPNNs （back-propagation neural networks） have high attainable classification accuracy. However, there is a noticeable variation in the achieved accuracies due to different network designs and implementations. Hence, researchers usually need to conduct several experimental trials before they can finalize the network design. This is a time consuming process which significantly reduces the effectiveness of using BPNNs and the final design may still not be optimal. Therefore, there is a need to see whether there are some common guidelines for effective design and implementation of BPNNs. With this aim in mind, this paper attempts to find and summarize the common guidelines suggested by different authors through literature review and discussion of the findings. To provide readers with background and contextual information, some ANN fundamentals are also introduced.

摘要：The indicators of flood damage assessment in the flood classification are often incompatible, and it is very difficult to use those indicators value directly for classification assessment. Projection pursuit technology can project higher dimensional incompatible data into lower dimensional sub-space, and find the projection values for optimal projection index function to get the higher dimensional data structure features, which has been improved to be reasonable and effective for flood disaster classification assessment. However, it is a bit difficult to optimize the parameters of projection index functions, as a result, that limits the applications of this method. As an emerging heuristic global optimization algorithm based on swarm intelligence, particle swarm optimization algorithm has the ability of solving complex optimization problem, but it still be easily convergent early, and can not search the global optimal solution. In this paper, a flood disaster classification assessment method based on multi-swarm cooperative particle swarm optimization is proposed, which adopts a tri-parameter Logistic curve to construct the flood disaster projection pursuit model, and uses mul-ti-swarm system particle swarm optimization method to optimize the parameters of the projection index functions. The typical test function experiment shows that this optimization method can solve the early convergence commonly found in standard particle swarm optimization algorithm, which global optimized ability is improved greatly. Applied in flood disaster assessment in HeNan Province, the results using this method comparing with others indicates that it can assess effectively the flood disaster, and has better assessment accuracy and disaster resolution.

摘要：The concept of word classes （parts of speech） has always generated controversy among linguists. The earlier Prescriptive and Descriptive Schools might have set the pace for this controversy but the present dilemma is much deeper. Learners and even teachers are sometimes at quandary as to how to proof that a particular word belongs to a particular class. This is because a word may sometimes belong to several classes, in context as in the word ＂watch＂ which can belong to different classes. This paper therefore tries to provide answers to the problem of word class classification by using a morphological and syntactical evidence to prove that English words follow a particular range of inflections and belong to strictly ordered particular categories and do not change their class arbitrarily. This is in line with the natural perfect order of homogeneity in creation which precludes a specie from merging effectively with another specie without having to undergo some fundamental changes. Other variables were also looked into and it was concluded that teachers and learners as well, can rely on this sub-categorization approach as a reliable paradigm for their assumptions concerning word classes.

摘要：In this paper, we present a theoretical codebook design method for VQ-based fast face recognition algorithm to im-prove recognition accuracy. Based on the systematic analysis and classification of code patterns, firstly we theoretically create a systematically organized codebook. Combined with another codebook created by Kohonen’s Self-Organizing Maps (SOM) method, an optimized codebook consisted of 2×2 codevectors for facial images is generated. Experimental results show face recognition using such a codebook is more efficient than the codebook consisted of 4×4 codevector used in conventional algorithm. The highest average recognition rate of 98.6% is obtained for 40 persons’ 400 images of publicly available face database of AT&T Laboratories Cambridge containing variations in lighting, posing, and expressions. A table look-up (TLU) method is also proposed for the speed up of the recognition processing. By applying this method in the quantization step, the total recognition processing time achieves only 28 msec, enabling real-time face recognition.

摘要：Spam, the electronic equivalent of junk mail, affects over 600 million users worldwide. The massive increase of spam is posing a very serious threat to email which has become an important means of communication. Not only does it annoy users, but it also consumes much of the bandwidth of the Internet. Even as anti-spam solutions change to limit the amount of spam sent to users, the senders adapt to make sure their messages are seen, while spam reorganization has different properties comparing with normal text reorganization. Presented are three different classifiers are combined with detailed analysis on various training data set of the given spam database. These classifiers are combined into a mixture of experts (MOE) system which yields overall better performance than any of the individual contributors. The instructions for further improvements on classifiers as well as its requirement on spam databases are also given.

摘要：Intensive use of geometrical modelling started with the development of computer graphics and CAD/CAM technologies, comprising a wide area of mathematical disciplines. Geometrical modelling is a synthesis of the geometry and computer graphics, which enable us to develop complex mathematical models that would be rather difficult to display without using a computer. The author recognizes two basic methods of research of geometrical models, synthetic and analytic. The synthetic method makes use of geometrical constructions and in the analytic method geometrical objects are characterized by numerical data. The author uses these methods in this contribution. The aim of this research is to show central cyclides （Dupin＇s cyclides） as a special kind of the cyclical elliptical pedal surfaces. Firstly, applying the method of synthetic geometry, a new class of such surfaces in the 3-dimensional Euclidean space （model of the projective space） is defined. The geometrical construction of these surfaces is dependent on the given ellipse and the position of the pole P. It is the point at which the pencil of perpendicular planes passes to the plane of the ellipse, wherein the generating circles of the surface are lying. The parametric equations of the cyclical elliptical surface are derived applying the method of analytic geometry. The author classifies the surfaces according to the number of generating circles with a zero radius. The evolute of the ellipse divides the plane of the ellipse into two areas, Ω1 and Ω2. The shape of the surface depends on the position of the pole P in the areas of Ω1 and Ω2. The surface can have 4, 3 or 2 circles with a zero radius. The author then describes the relationship between these surfaces and the Dupin＇s cyclides, obtained in the case when the pole P is the point on the major axis of the ellipse. Finally, the transformation of these surfaces is shown by changing of the orthonormal base in the parameterization of the generating circles of the sur
