摘要：This paper examines the relationship of Simone Beauvoir to the field of philosophy; her work and her subject position as an author. In addition, this paper examines the relation of Sartre to Beauvoir as an author. I conclude that while Beauvoir may have defined herself as a writer, her training in and her position to, Philosophy should not be negated. Also, 1 add that Sartre＇s influence on the content of her body of work should be rejoiced and rather not criticized.

摘要：Director Neil Jordan＇s 2013 film Byzantium is a vampire narrative with a female empowerment theme that attains the status of Irish neomyth. Although much of the story takes place in England, the vampires originate in southwest Ireland, recognizable in filming locations and from historical allusions, Catholic religious references, Gaelic speech acts, traditional Irish songs, imagery from Celtic mythology, and a title that invokes a relevant Yeats poem with the title ＂Byzantium.＂ Such references to Irish culture elevate the supernatural mother-daughter protagonists to modem mythic status in their centuries-long conflict with an Ireland-based, patriarchal vampire Brotherhood.

摘要：Historical studies on the character of Lily Bart in Edith Wharton’s The House of Mirth have predominantly revolved around psychology,sociology,and aesthetics,yet neglecting the significance and role of the body within the *** Brooks’s concept of body writing,this paper focuses on exploring Lily’s body in three dimensions:the body of vision(self-objectification);the body of privacy(moral dilemma);and the body of modernity(overdose symbolizing the clash of science and humanity).Scrutinizing and analyzing the body writing in The House of Mirth reveal the feminist undercurrents of Lily’s character and highlight the broader and significant role of body writing in literary works.

摘要：This paper comprises an analysis of the modernist American writer Truman Capote＇s novel The Grass Harp （1951） from a feminist perspective. While the novel treats the ostracizing of four people by the oppressive mindset of a patriarchal society, the female character Dolly Talbo who leads the banished group to live in a tree house becomes the embodiment of a Goddess image introduced by the New Age Spiritualities and Neopaganism. Creating a new culture for women as an alternative to the patriarchal system, in which concepts such as love, herbalism, and magic are sanctioned as sacred, and offering this culture as an opportunity to all human beings, Dolly Talbo can be perceived as a contemporary holy witch who becomes an occult and undermining threat to the patriarchal order.

摘要：Walt Disney animated films are considered synonymous with wholesome family entertainment despite the inherent negative messages of gender, age, and power hierarchies behind them. This paper proposes to explore the aspect of age as intersecting with gender through the villainesses in six of Disney＇s popular animated films： Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs （1937）, Cinderella （1950）, Sleeping Beauty （1959）, The Little Mermaid （1989）, Tangled （2010）, and Frozen （2013）. How Disney alters the actions of major and minor characters, and the construction of aging female characters and the key characteristics they exhibit during their fight for eternal youth, beauty, and social and political power will be analyzed, attempting to show how Disney is not a harmless substitute for a babysitter for children.

As rigid social connections and concepts restrict women＇s autonomy and freedom, they must transform themselves and the world in order to survive. In order to analyze pioneer women＇s process of self-growth in the special period, the author of this paper compares and contrasts the specific situation, and analyzes the characteristics of the protagonists in the above two novels. Through analysis, the authuor concludes that pioneer women always create a nurturing and gracious atmosphere in their household. Practically, these women successfully transmit the old civilization to the newly established homestead.

摘要：A Room of One’s Own is a masterpiece by Virginia Woolf, which describes her understanding of literary creation and the issue of women and fiction. The content of this book is based on Woolf’s two speeches at Cambridge, with the theme of “Women and fiction.” Through the analysis of the history and current situation of female literary creation, the paper points out that women should have the courage and right to fight for independent economic power and social status. “Oxbridge” is a combined term of Oxford and Cambridge, and Oxbridge pictures dominate the first chapter of A Room of One’s Own, which are the focus of this paper. Through a detailed analysis of the different indoor and outdoor pictures of Oxbridge, including nature, landscape, humanistic architecture and the “pictures” imagined in the narrator’s mind, this paper discusses the existence of Victorian women and Woolf’s feminist thoughts so as to provide possible implications for the social survival of contemporary women. The study is also concerned with Woolf’s Eco-feminism, stream of consciousness and other artistic skills.
