摘要：The aseismic design of cable-stayed bridges in the transverse direction with newly proposed metallic dampers that can accommodate both longitudinal and transverse movement of the deck has recently been *** work focuses on developing a simplified method to design an appropriate metallic *** seismic performance of cablestayed bridges with different damper stiffness,main span lengths,tower shapes and types of deck in the transverse direction are *** transverse displacement of the deck of a cable-stayed bridge increases significantly with the increment of the damper stiffness,which proves that the design of the damper stiffness is crucial.A simplified model considering the damper stiffness,cable system and tower in the transverse direction is developed to evaluate the period and lateral displacement of a complicated cable-stayed *** on the simplified model,a design method is proposed and assessed using two cable-stayed bridges as *** results show that metallic dampers can be designed with high efficiency,and the optimal ductility of the damper can be selected.

摘要：From the point of translation from liquid to amorphous phase, a new approach for composition design of bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) was suggested based on the stability estimations of liquid and amorphous phases. Gibbs free energy (△G) of liquid phase, which can be calculated approximately using mixing enthalpy (△Hmix) and configuration entropy (Sconfig), was taken as a stability criterion of liquid phase. On the other hand, vacancy formation energy (△Hh) was used to evaluate the stability of amorphous phase due to the linear relationship between △Hh and crystallization temperature (Tx). Based on these two sides, new Cu-Zr-Nd bulk metallic glasses were designed and synthesized successfully by suction-casting into copper mold. Experimental results about glass-forming ability are consistent with the computational values, which not only proves the validity of the new approach for composition design but also shows the new BMG of Cu60.5Zr34Nd5.5 can be cast into amorphous alloys with 2 mm in diameter.

摘要：Electron-hole separation is a critical step to achieving efficient photocatalysis, towards which use of co-catalysts has become a widely used strategy. Despite the tremendous efforts and demonstrated functions of noble metal co-catalysts, seeking noble metal-free co-catalysts will always be the goal when designing cost- effective, high-performance hybrid photocatalysts. In this work, we demonstrate that MoS~ nanosheets with 1T phase （i.e., octahedral phase） can function as a co-catalyst with multiple merits： （1） Noble-metal-free; （2） high mobility for charge transport; （3） high density of active sites for H2 evolution on basal planes; （4） good performance stability; （5） high light transparency. As demonstrated in both photocatalytic hydrogen production and Rhodamine B degradation, the developed hybrid structure with TiO2 exhibits excellent performance, in sharp contrast to bare TiO2 and the hybrid counterpart with 2H-MoS2.

摘要：Bipolar plates perform as current conductors between cells, provide conduits for reactant gases, facilitate water and thermal management through the cells, and constitute the backbone of a fuel cell stack. Currently, commercial bipolar plates are made of graphite composite because of its relatively low interfacial contact resistance (ICR) and high corrosion resistance. However, graphite composite’s manufacturability, permeability, and durability of shock and vibration are unfavorable in comparison to metals. Therefore, metals have been considered as a replacement material for graphite composite bipolar plates. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of terminal connection design and bipolar plate material on PEM fuel cell overall performance. The study has indicated that single cell performance can be improved by combining terminals into metallic bipolar plates. This terminal design reduces the internal cell resistance and eliminates the need for additional terminal plates. The improved single cell performance by 18% and the increased savings in hydrogen consumption by 15% at the current density of 0.30 A/cm2 was attributed to the robust metal to metal contact between the terminal and the metallic bipolar plates. However, connecting metal terminal directly into graphite bipolar plates did not exhibit similar improvement in the performance of graphite fuel cells because of their brittleness that could have caused damage in the plates and poor contacts.
