摘要：Carbon nanotube(CNT)/polymer nanocomposites have vast application in industry because of their light mass and high strength. In this work, a cylindrical tube which is made up of functionally graded(FG) PmP V/CNT nanocomposite, is optimally designed for the purpose of torque transmission. The main confining parameters of a rotating shaft in torque transmission process are mass of the shaft, critical speed of rotation and critical buckling torque. It is required to solve a multi-objective optimization problem(MOP) to consider these three targets simultaneously in the process of design. The three-objective optimization problem for this case is defined and solved using a hybrid method of FEM and modified non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm(NSGA-II), by coupling two softwares, MATLAB and ABAQUS. Optimization process provides a set of non-dominated optimal design vectors. Then, two methods, nearest to ideal point(NIP) and technique for ordering preferences by similarity to ideal solution(TOPSIS), are employed to choose trade-off optimum design vectors. Optimum parameters that are obtained from this work are compared with the results of previous studies for similar cylindrical tubes made from composite or a hybrid of aluminum and composite that more than 20% improvement is observed in all of the objective functions.

摘要：The present study deals with the effects of both tin (Sn) and graphite (Gr) powders on the cold extrudability of Fe-TiC nanocomposites as lubricant. The production process includes low-energy ball milling, powder metallurgy and cold direct Extrusion. Due to various factors influencing the extrudability of the Fe-TiC nanocomposites, such as milling time, rate of extrusion, type and content of lubricant and etc, Taguchi robust design method of system optimization was used to determine the approximate contribution percent (% &#961) of each factor. In order to investigation of Fe-TiC properties, samples with best quality of extrusion were analyzed by XRD and SEM investigations. The results indicate that, sitting the atomic layers of Sn lubricant between Fe and TiC particles leads to decreasing the friction. In this case sliding the particles on each other is easier and a part of the load is applied on lubricant. The results of extrusion of samples indicate that using 2% Sn admixed and die wall graphite lubrication can improve cold extrudability of Fe-TiC nanocomposites.

摘要：Objective： A new therapeutic strategy using nanocomposite scaffolds of grafted hydroxyapaUte （g-HA）/ poly（lactide-co-glycolide） （PLGA） carried with autologous mesenchymal stem cells （MSCs） and bone morphogenetic protein-2 （BMP-2） was assessed for the therapy of critical bone defects. At the same time, tissue response and in vivo mineralization of tissue-engineered implants were investigated. Methods： A composite scaffold of PLGA and g-HA was fabricated by the solvent casting and particulate-leaching method. The tissue-engineered implants were prepared by seeding the scaffolds with autologous bone marrow MSCs in vitro. Then, mineralization and osteogenesis were ob- served by intramuscular implantation, as well as the repair of the critical radius defects in rabbits. Results： After eight weeks post-surgery, scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDX） revealed that g-HNPLGA had a better interface of tissue response and higher mineralization than PLGA. Apatite particles were formed and varied both in macropores and micropores of g-HNPLGA. Computer radiographs and histological analysis revealed that there were more and more quickly formed new bone formations and better fusion in the bone defect areas of g-HNPLGA at 2-8 weeks post-surgery. Typical bone synostosis between the implant and bone tissue was found in g-HNPLGA, while only fibrous tissues formed in PLGA. Conclusions： The incorporation of g-HA mainly im- proved mineralization and bone formation compared with PLGA. The application of MSCs can enhance bone for- mation and mineralization in PLGA scaffolds compared with cell-free scaffolds. Furthermore, it can accelerate the absorption of scaffolds compared with composite scaffolds.
