摘要：Metal-organic-framework （MOF）-based materials with novel physicochemical properties have emerged as promising catalysts for various hydrogenation reactions. In addition to metal clusters and multifunctional organic ligands, MOF-based catalysts can incorporate other functional species, and thus provide various active sites for hydrogenation processes. The structural properties of the catalysts play significant roles in enhancing the interactions among the reactants, products, and catalytic sites, which can be rationally designed. Because of the synergistic effects between the ac-tive sites and the structural properties, MOF-based catalysts can achieve higher activities and selec- tivities in hydrogenation reactions than can be obtained using traditional heterogeneous catalysts. This review provides an overview of recent developments in MOF-based catalysts in the hydro-genation of alkenes, alkynes, nitroarenes, cinnamaldehyde, furfural, benzene, and other compounds. Strategies for improving the catalytic performances of MOF-based catalysts are discussed as well as the different active sites and structural properties of the catalysts.

摘要：There is a lack of thermophysical data of heat transfer oil and nano-oil in the high temperature range of 50-300 ℃ for designing and developing heat transfer oil furnace and its heating systems. In the present study, the thermal conductivity values of heat transfer oil and TiO2 nano-oil in the above high temperature range were measured by a newly developed high-temperature thermal conductivity meter. Based on the principle of least square method, the thermal conductivity values obtained from experiments were fitted separately, and the correlation between thermal conductivity and temperature of heat transfer oil and TiO2 nano-oil was obtained. The results show that the thermal conductivity and the increased percentage of thermal conductivity of TiO2 nano-oil are proportional to the increase of particle size and mass fraction of nanoparticles, but thermal conductivity is in reverse proportion to the increase of temperature and the increased percentage of thermal conductivity is less affected by temperature.

摘要：Using density functional theory （DFT） calculations, we rationally designed metallic nanocatalysts with ternary transition metals for oxygen reduction reactions （ORRs） in fuel cell applications. We surrounded binary core-shell nanoparticles with a Pt skin layer. To overcome surface segregation of the core 3-d transition metal, we identified the binary alloy Cu0.76Ni0.24 as having strongly attractive atomic interactions by computationally screening 158 different alloy configurations using energy convex hull theory. The PtskinCu0.76Ni0.24 nanoparticle showed better electrochemical stability than pure Pt nanoparticles -3 nm in size. We propose that the underlying mechanism originates from favorable compressive strain on Pt for ORR catalysis and atomic interactions among the nanoparticle shells for electrochemical stability. Our results will contribute to accurate identification and innovative design of promising nanomaterials for renewable energy systems.
