摘要：This paper demonstrates wide-band CMOS VCO based on the transformer feedback from traditional circuit to our proposed work. The start up condition of the traditional cross-coupled pair is expressed by the high frequency model. The wide band technique of this structure is derived with the help of the high frequency model of the transistor. Therefore, the wide band CMOS VCO based on the common source transformer feedback topology can achieves the high performance in the low voltage and low phase noise. The measurement result of the VCO exhibits the figure of merit, core power consumption and output power at supply voltage 0.8 V are –193.1 dBc/Hz, 4.4 mW and –2.3 dBm, respectively. The phase noise is –124.3 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset under the operation frequency 5.8 GHz. And the tuning range of the circuit can obtain 28%, this VCO is fabricated in TSMC 0.18 μm 1P6MCMOS process.

摘要：This paper presents the design of a low power LNA with second stage that uses a notch filter for DS-UWB application. The LNA employs a current reuse structure to reduce the power consumption and an active second order notch filter to produce band rejection in the 5 - 6 GHz frequency band. The input reflection coefficient S11 and output reflection S22 are both less than –10 dB. The maximum power gain S21 is 15 dB while the maximum rejection ratio is over –10 dB at 4.8 GHz. The minimum noise figure is 5 dB. The input referred third-order intercept point (IIP3) is –7 dBm at 6 GHz. The power consumption is 6.4 mW from a 1-V power supply.

摘要：This paper proposes a method to design multichannel cosine modulated filter bank for image compression using multiobjective optimization technique. The design problem is a combination of stopband residual energy, least square error of the overall transfer function of the filter bank, coding gain with dc leakage free condition as constraint. The proposed algorithm uses Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA) to minimize the mutually contradictory objective function by minimizing filter tap weights of prototype filter. The algorithm solves this problem by searching solutions that achieve the best compromise between the different objectives criteria. The performance of this algorithm is evaluated in terms of coding gain and peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR). Simulation results on different images are included to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm for image compression application.

摘要：A sensitivity design method for a CMOS optoelectronic integrated circuit （OEIC） receiver is reported. The receiver consists of a regulated cascade （RGC） transimpedance amplifier （TIA） and a double photodiode （DPD） detector. The noise and sensitivity of the receiver are analyzed in detail. The noise mainly comes from the thermal noise of resistors and the flicker noise of MOSFETs. The relationship between noise and receiver sensitivity is presented. The sensitivity design method for the receiver is given by a set of equations. The OEIC receiver was implemented in a CSMC 0.6μm standard CMOS process. The measured eye diagram shows that the CMOS OEIC receiver is able to work at bit rates of up to 1.25GB/s and the sensitivity is - 12dBm.

摘要：The statistical energy analysis (SEA) was used in the acoustical design of an electrical emergency plant to reduce the outdoor noise level. In the past, when the plant was working, a high annoying noise was heard all over the university camp. At a first glance the principal ways of noise propagation were the open door of the plant which was used for the suction of fresh air and a vast hole in the ceiling which was used for gases outlet. Also, a spectral analysis of the noise inside the plant showed that the dominant frequencies of the noise were in the range of 120 - 270 Hz. This frequency range is near the critical frequency of the brick walls that is 129 Hz, at which the walls are transparent for noise. A two-block diagram is used for the statistical energy analysis. Two ways of sound transmission are considered through the inlet and outlet holes and through the walls and ceiling. This analysis shows that the exclusion of holes wouldn’t be sufficient to reduce noise to an acceptable level in a low frequency range but increase the noise absorption by the wall coating material. The transmission loss is calculated for different wall coatings and hole areas. A layer of fiberglass of two-inch width is selected to increase the wall absorption coefficient. Special silencers are designed and put at the suction of air and at the outlet of engine gases to reduce the noise propagation through the holes. The noise measurement shows that the noise level is considerably reduced after implementation of these measures. The reduction of noise is 7 - 8 dB (A), 19 dB (A) and 23 dB (A), inside the plant, 10 m and 15 m away from the plant, respectively.

摘要：A neuronal signal detecting circuit and a neuronal signal stimulating circuit designed for a monolithic integrated MEA（micro-electrode array） system are described. As a basic cell of the circuits, an OPA（ operational amplifier） is designed with low power, low noise, small size and high gain. The detecting circuit has a chip area of 290 μm × 400 μm, a power dissipation of 2.02 mW, an equivalent input noise of 17.72 nV/ Hz, a gain of 60. 5 dB, and an output voltage from - 2. 48 to ＋ 2. 5 V. The stimulating circuit has a chip area of 130 μm × 290 μm, a power dissipation of 740 μW, and an output voltage from - 2. 5 to 2. 04 V. The parameters show that two circuits are suitable for a monolithic integrated MEA system. The detecting circuit and MEA have been fabricated. The test results show that the detecting circuit works well.
