摘要：Thomas Middleton and William Rowley’s The Changeling enacts an astonishment on the stage to the audience about the protagonist Beatrice-Joanna’s down fall-the noble lady being straightly encroached by her desire and being manipulated by the obscene servant De Flores, who, by means of rape, controls her body and finally destroys her. My article attempts to explore male’s expectations and their power over female’s sexuality with Jacques Lacan’s psychoanalytical approach. Moreover, it will elaborate that Beatrice-Joanna’s tragic outcome is not only contributed by her murder and moral degradations, but also, before her transgression being committed, her body has already been regulated by the patriarchal power in the Renaissance society-either she is valuable in the marriage market with her chastity or she is condemned by losing it. Also, the science of medicine employed to test virginity represents the male’s methodological hegemony and anxiety in facing the unknown of a female’s chastity. For the fantasy always regulating the male’s power structure over female’s body, the real manipulation over female sexuality is doomed to be an illusion.

摘要：King＇s narratives exemplify the themes of the uncanny, of masking and unmasking, of the corporeal otherisation and of the questioning of identity. This paper is an invitation to go beyond what may commonly be thought of as a uniform looking-glass so as to discover King＇s particular treatment of the body. Far from shying away from sexuality, the American writer depicts it in an ambivalent or disguised manner （Thinner, Mr. Mercedes, Christine, Misery, Cycle of the Werewolf）. If the female body is mainly connected with the taboos of rape and incest （Gerald＇s Game, Dolores Claiborne, Bag of Bones, Under the Dome）, or with ungenderisation （The Tommynockers, Rose Madder）, the notion of monstrosisation can nevertheless be applied to both male and female bodies （The Shining, Desperation, ＂The Raft,＂ ＂Survivor Type＂）. Oscillating between hypermonstration and avoidance, King pulls the strings of the fragmentation, even of the silencing of the body. The fissure impregnating the characters＇ identity and bodies is enlightened by the shattering of the very connection between signifiers and signified, inserting the reader into a state of non-knowledge： a mesmerising dance of disembodied bodies within disembodied texts.

摘要：This paper tackles the issue of limits in Chuck Palahniuk＇s Choke （2001）. The narrative is at the image of this controversial American writer and mirrors his work as a whole. The paper aims at exploring the trespassing and even the annihilation of boundaries both at the thematic and linguistic levels. The cornerstone notion of transgression opens the path to a rewriting of the paradigm between signifiers and signified and unveils the problematics of the body linked to the redefined vision of choking and to a deviant sexuality. The body itself is remolded into a land of conquest. The reader is left to wonder where Palahniuk＇s quest for transgression will lead him, if the crossing of limits is precisely limitless and if the body is an enduring cornucopia of possible experiences.

摘要：This paper is a study of Kakar＇s The Ascetic of Desire from psychoanalytic perspective. The analyses are based on the psychoanalytic theories and concepts posited by Sigmund Freud. The focus of the study is on the psycho-sexual construction of the subjects in the concerned novel, how a subject develops sexually, how sexuality affects the psychological growth of the subject, the factors that hamper a subject＇s psycho-sexual growth, and how psycho-sexual growth ultimately transforms a subject both psychologically and socially. As the novel is written by a both psychoanalyst and novelist, Sudhir Kakar, the scope of the study becomes undoubtedly rich.

摘要：During the last months of 1888 the populous quarter of Whitechapel, London, was stained with the blood of five women, all booked prostitutes and chronic alcoholics, worthy representatives of the diseases/vices of the Victorian East End. The shrewd and sanguinary Monster who realized these violent murders called himself ＂Jack the Ripper＂, signing with his ＂trade name＂ the letters he sent to the Central News Agency and through the press he soon became a myth, the most famous ＂serial killer＂ of all time. As a matter of fact, his legend survived, and his evil figure still haunts the pages of books and---of course--the frames of many films; among the most famous From Hell （2001） by Albert and Allen Hughes, taken from the graphic novel of the same name by Moore and Campbell; Jack the Ripper （1976） by Jess Franco, with a disturbing Klaus Kinski, but also the TV movie directed by David Wickes in 1998 entitled Jack The Ripper; more obliquely, Jack appears also in The Lodger （1913） and Frenzy （1972） by Alfred Hitchcock. But can these movies be defined as true biopics of Jack？ Strangely enough, it seems, these biographies contribute to build the mythic ＂anonymity＂ of the Ripper, encouraging （and fascinating） fear and nightmares.

摘要：Introduction: Women’s sexual function is a complex ensemble of variables that involve physical, emotional, and psychosocial states. Objective: This review aims to evaluate the evidence about the sexual behavior of women during pregnancy. Methods: Survey of PubMed for the period from 1996 to 2011 for prospective, retrospective and case-control studies, randomized clinical trials, meta-analyses and systematic reviews on the sexual function of women during pregnancy using the terms “sexual function”, “sexual dysfunction”, “sexuality”, “pregnancy”, and “pregnant woman”. Results: Changes occur in the sexual function of women during pregnancy;however, due to the heterogeneity of the studies and the incomparability of samples for lack of pairing for cultural, age, length of relationship and gestational age variables, and other methodological biases, it is not possible to characterize the sexual response of pregnant women. Conclusions: The changes observed are not sufficient to characterize sexual behavior during pregnancy as pathological. It is therefore necessary to standardize the study groups and the instruments for the assessment of sexual function, to determine the presence of distress concomitant with changes in sexual function, and to assess the sexual function of the partner and the impact of changes on the dyadic relationship before and after the gestational period.
