摘要：Background:Renal artery stenosis (RAS) is always associated with abnormalities in renal microvascular perfusion (RMP).However,few imaging methods can simultaneously evaluate the degree of luminal stenosis and ***,this study will aim to evaluate the feasibility of using contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) for assessing both RAS and RMP to achieve a one-stop assessment of patients with suspected renovascular hypertension. Methods:This will be a single-center diagnostic study with a sample size of *** with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and suspected of having resistant hypertension will be *** with Stages 1–3 CKD will undergo CEUS and computed tomography (CT) angiography (CTA).Values obtained by CEUS and CTA for diagnosing low-grade (lumen reduced by <60%) and high-grade (lumen reduced by ≥60%) RAS will be ***,all patients will also undergo radionuclide *** diagnostic value for RAS will be assessed by the receiver operating characteristic curve,including the accuracy,sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive values,negative predictive values,and area under the *** correlation analysis will be performed to assess the association between CEUS findings for RMP and glomerular filtration rate measured by a radionuclide imaging method. Conclusion:The data gathered from this study will be used to evaluate the feasibility of expanding clinical applications of CEUS for evaluation of patients with suspected renovascular hypertension.

摘要：A parametric study was performed to design a device capable of treating small targeted regions within the prostate using high intensity focused ultrasound, while sparing the surrounding organs and minimizing the number of elements. The optimal focal length (L), operating frequency (f), element size (a) and central opening radius for lodging an imaging probe (r) of a device that would safely treat tissue within the prostate were obtained. Images from the Visible Human Project were used to determine simulated organ sizes and treatment locations. Elliptical tumors were placed throughout the simulated prostate and their lateral and axial limits were selected as test locations. Using graphics processors, the acoustic field and Bio-Heat Transfer Equation were solved to calculate the heating produced during a simulated treatment. L, f, a and r were varied from 45 to 75 mm, 2.25 to 3 MHz, 1.5 to 8 times the wavelength and 9 to 12.5 mm, respectively. The resulting optimal device was a 761-element concentric-ring transducer with L = 68 mm, f = 2.75 MHz, a = 2.05λ and r = 9 mm. Simulated thermal lesions showed that it was possible to treat target tumors consistent with reported locations and sizes for prostate cancer.

摘要：Objective: To determine whether endovaginal ultrasound is a reliable measure in visualization of the sacrospinous ligament among women with prolapse versus women without prolapse, and thus might be clinically applicable in the design of an ultrasound-guided device for performing sacrospinous ligament anchor placement as a treatment for pelvic organ prolapse. Methods: In the first phase of this study we performed a sacrospinous anchor placement in four normal fresh-frozen female pelves. Afterwards, an endovaginal ultrasound was performed to visualize the anchor localization which was validated by dissection of the cadaveric pelves. In the second phase of the study: two groups of volunteer females with and without pelvic organ prolapsed (POP-group, vs NON-POP group) were evaluated by endovaginal ultrasound to localize the sacrospinous ligament. Results: Cadaveric dissection demonstrated accurate anchor placement into the 8/8 sacrospinous ligament. We performed endovaginal ultrasound in a total of 17 N-POP and 10 (POP) patients. Among the N-POP group, the right and left ischial spines were visible in 6/17 (35%) and (6/17) 35% vs 0/10 (0%) for both right and left sides in POP group (p = 0.008). The right sacrospinous ligament was visualized in 4/17 (23%) N-POP subjects and 0/10 POP subjects (p = 0.27) and the left sacrospinous ligament was visualized in 7/17 (41%) N-POP subjects and 2/10 POP subjects (p = 0.48). Conclusions: Sacrospinous ligament and the ischial spines couldn’t be reliably visualized among women with or without pelvic organ prolapse using endovaginal ultrasound, although the structures are visualized more in some of the non-prolapsed women. The sacrospinous anchoring device demonstrated accurate placement by cadaveric dissections.

摘要：There are 12 billion injections given worldwide every year. For many injections, the intramuscular route is favoured over the subcutaneous route due to the increased vascularity of muscle tissue and the corresponding increase in the bioavailability of drugs when administered intramuscularly. This paper is a review of the variables that affect the success of intramuscular injections and the implications that these success rates have in psychiatry and general medicine. Studies have shown that the success rates of intended intramuscular injections vary between 32 and 52%, with the rest potentially resulting in inadvertent subcutaneous drug deposition. These rates are found to be even lower for certain at-risk populations, such as obese patients and those on antipsychotic medications. The variables associated with an increased risk of injection failure include female sex, obesity, site of injection, and subcutaneous fat depth. New guidelines and methods are needed in order to address this challenge and ensure that patients receive optimum care. Looking forward, the best way to improve the delivery of intramuscular injections worldwide is to develop uniform algorithms or innovative medical devices to confirm or guarantee successful delivery at the bedside.

摘要：Significant advances in imaging technology have changed the management of pancreatic cancer. In computed tomography (CT), this has included development of multidetector row, rapid, thin-section imaging that has also facilitated the advent of advanced reconstructions, which in turn has offered new perspectives from which to evaluate this disease. In magnetic resonance imaging, advances including higher field strengths, thin-section volumetric acquisitions, diffusion weighted imaging, and liver specific contrast agents have also resulted in new tools for diagnosis and staging. Endoscopic ultrasound has resulted in the ability to provide high-resolution imaging rivaling intraoperative ultrasound, along with the ability to biopsy via real time imaging suspected pancreatic lesions. Positron emission tomography with CT, while still evolving in its role, provides whole body staging as well as the unique imaging characteristic of metabolic activity to aid disease management. This article will review these modalities in the diagnosis and staging of pancreatic cancer.

摘要：[Objective] This study aimed to investigate the optimal condition for extrac- tion of ellagic acid from pomegranate peels. [Method] With ellagic acid yield as an indicator, ultrasound extraction method was adopted to extract the ellagic acid from pomegranate peels, and the concentration of ellagic acid was measured by using ul- traviolet spectrophotometry; L9（34） orthogonal experiment was designed with four fac- tors at three levels, to investigate the effect of extraction temperature, extraction du- ration, solid-liquid ratio and ultrasound power on extraction rate of ellagic acid. [Re- sult] The optimal extraction condition for ellagic acid is extraction temperature of 30 ~C, solid-liquid ratio of 1：200, extraction duration of 20 min, and ultrasound power of 50 W. The relationship between primary and secondary factors affecting experimental indicators was solid-liquid ratio 〉 extraction duration 〉 ultrasound power 〉 extraction temperature. [Conclusion] Solid-liquid ratio has the maximum effect on extraction rate of ellagic acid. The ellagic acid extraction technology identified in this study is rea- sonable and feasible.
