摘要：The pincipl of a 6 DOF (degress of freedom) input device using ultrasonic distance measurement is presented in this paper. The system employs the method of measuring the time of flight. In addition, some techniques, including automatic gain control, self-adaptive variable threshold and temperature compensation, are also used to improve precision. Then, the positions and orientation of the input device can be calculated by the method of spatial analytic geometry. Meanwhile, commands from the 3-D input device are detected and carried out. The validity and precision of the input device are verified by the experiment in a robot system. The proposed device not only can be used for end effector position and orientation measurement in telerobotics, but also can be an interactive device in virtual reality systems, such as helmet tracking, viewpoint navigation and object manipulation.

摘要：In this study,a 3D virtual reality and visualization engine for rendering the ocean,named VV-Ocean,is designed for marine *** design goals of VV-Ocean aim at high fidelity simulation of ocean environment,visualization of massive and multidimensional marine data,and imitation of marine ***-Ocean is composed of five modules,*** management module,resources management module,scene management module,rendering process management module and interaction management *** are three core functions in VV-Ocean:reconstructing vivid virtual ocean scenes,visualizing real data dynamically in real time,imitating and simulating marine lives *** on VV-Ocean,we establish a sea-land integration platform which can reproduce drifting and diffusion processes of oil spilling from sea bottom to *** factors such as ocean current and wind field have been considered in this *** this platform oil spilling process can be abstracted as movements of abundant oil *** result shows that oil particles blend with water well and the platform meets the requirement for real-time and interactive ***-Ocean can be widely used in ocean applications such as demonstrating marine operations,facilitating maritime communications,developing ocean games,reducing marine hazards,forecasting the weather over oceans,serving marine tourism,and so ***,further technological improvements of VV-Ocean are discussed.

摘要：Long-time driving and monotonous visual environment increase the safety risk of driving in an extra-long tunnel. Driving fatigue can be effectively relieved by setting the visual fatigue relief zone in the tunnel. However, the setting form of visual fatigue relief zone, such as its length and location, is difficult to be designed and quantified. By integrating virtual reality(VR) apparatus with wearable electroencephalogram(EEG)-based devices, a hybrid method was proposed in this study to assist analyzers to formulate the layout of visual fatigue relief zone in the extra-long *** virtual environment of this study was based on an 11.5 km extra-long tunnel located in Yunnan Province in *** results indicated that the use of natural landscape decoration inside the tunnel could improve driving fatigue with the growth rate of attention of the driver increased by more than 20%. The accumulation of driving fatigue had a negative effect on the fatigue relief. The results demonstrated that the optimal location of the fatigue relief zone was at the place where driving fatigue had just occurred rather than at the place where a certain amount of driving fatigue had accumulated.

摘要：A design strategy for a research platform of a telepresence telerobot system based on virtual reality technology is put forward. The design frame of the system is described, and its important core techniques are described. An octrees data structure is utilized to build kinematic and dynamic modeling of the virtual simulation environment, Delphi+OpenGL+3DS MAX are adopted to carry through the virtual modeling and visible simulation exploitation of the slave-robot and its environment. Photo-correction is adopted to correct positioning deviation of the virtual geometric model and modeling errors. The cost of software and hardware equipment for the research platform realized is low. The master/slave robot (manipulator) system and all software in the system were designed and manufactured by our research group. The performance of the system has reached the level required for research. An indispensable experiment base is provided for the research of a telepresence telerobot system based on virtual reality technology.

摘要：virtual reality technology is a brand new comprehensive information technology emerging during the end of 21 st century. In recent years in particular, it gains rapid development, involving industries like education, industry, military, entertainment and medicine. Combined with the characteristics of railway maintenance training, this thesis proposes the application of virtual reality in courseware, distance education, locomotive simulation driving, locomotive overhauling oil and breakdown processing, and illustrates key technology and solution of the exploitation of virtual reality technology.

摘要：Mobile platform develops rapidly in recent years, with its performance and capacity increasing. A large number of virtual reality applications such as 3D simulation and visualization have appeared on mobile platform. However, due to restrictions, such as the lack of computing resources and the limited network bandwidth, the virtual reality systems on mobile platform could not have comparable performance as their peers on desktop platform. Taking resource restrictions into consideration, trade-offs have been made regarding the display of virtual reality systems. We propose a unified network scheduling strategy based on asynchronous multi-thread, database cache, prioritization and elimination of overdue requests. This strategy has been tested on the prototype system of virtual reality system on Android. The results demonstrate higher network resource utilization and better user experience.

摘要：Broadly,this paper is about designing memorable 3D geovisualizations for spatial knowledge acquisition during(virtual)*** is a fundamentally important task,and even though most people navigate every day,many find it difficult in unfamiliar *** people get lost in an unfamiliar environment,or are unable to remember a route that they took,they might feel anxiety,disappointment and frustration;and in real world,such incidents can be costly,and at times,***,in this paper,we study the design decisions in terms of visual realism in a city model,propose a visualization design optimized for route learning,implement and empirically evaluate this *** evaluation features a navigational route learning task,where we measure shortand long-term recall accuracy of 42 participants with varying spatial abilities and memory *** findings provide unique empirical evidence on how design choices affect memory in route learning with geovirtual environments,contributing toward empirically verified design guidelines for digital cities.
