摘要：Aim To visualize the explosive field and design a useful and practicable software tool to analyze explosive field. Methods An ideal model of the explosive field with a protective wall, which was simulated by another program MMIC(multi material in cell), was brought forward. The physical data output by MMIC were changed into image data represented by DIB bitmaps through the following steps: normalizing, coding, mapping and displaying. The object oriented method was applied in programming. Results and Conclusion With the tool, the explosive field with a protective wall is visualized. The overview of explosive field and some details about the transmission of shock wave in the field, such as reflection, flow over an obstacle and Mach reflection, are shown.

摘要：In order to visualize the 3-D field of explosion and describe the complex physical phenomena of explosion, the 3-D data resulting from numerical simulation by 3-D multi-material in cell (MMIC), and the application of volume visualization is explored, based on the characteristics of explosion and shock. Based on this, a visualization system for 3-D explosion--ViSC3D is designed. Approaches for the visualization of 3-D field of explosion are presented. The algorithm and the functions of ViSC3D are also presented. ViSC3D is thus a useful tool to observe and analyze either the full picture or the details of a 3-D field of explosion, that are difficult to observe and analyze directly. With ViSC3D, the field of explosion between the hill slopes is visualized. The cutaway views and 2-D slices are also given. The full picture and partial details of 3-D field of explosion can be observed clearly. Furthermore, ViSC3D can be used to visualize other similar 3-D data fields.

摘要：The structure of global lithosphere is very important to the scientific researches of tectonic movement, geodynamic process, mantle convection, resource exploration, and disaster prevention and reduction. Three-dimensional (3D) spatial modelling and visualization is an effective tool for lithosphere researches. However, both the isoline/profile methods and the Euclidean-based 3D modelling methods cannot meet the requirement of real 3D modeling of global lithosphere, whereas the recently developed global 3D grid methods have some defects on grid design, such as grid shrinkage, overlapping, non-orthogonality, and nonlatitude-longitude consistency. In this paper, Spheroid Degenerated-Octree Grid (SDOG), a non-overlapping, non-shrinking, orthogonal, latitude-longitude consistent grid in the spheroidal manifold space, was chosen as the basic grid for global lithosphere 3D modeling and visualization. The SDOG-based methods of spatial representation and modelling of lithosphere were proposed. A multi-scale model of lithosphere was designed, and the multi-scale modeling and multi-mode visualization were realized at the full advantages of SDOG in multi-hierarchical and multi-resolution and the properties of lithosphere in multi-semantic. It shows that (1) the SDOG-based method has not only overcome the defects of the current global 3D grid, but also reflected the spherical features of lithosphere more realistically and naturally than the traditional methods, providing a novel solution for global modeling, numeric simulating, and data sharing of lithosphere; and (2) more detailed plates division, more precise geo-layer structure, plates boarder and surface concave-convex, and more rich lithosphere properties are revealed as the scale-model moves on.

摘要：A GIS for ocean applications called ＂the Xiamen Atmospheric and Oceanographic Data Management and Display System （AODMDS）＂ has been designed and developed. The system is based on ArcObjects （AO）, a component-based GIS de- velopment tool. The paper discusses in detail the storage and organization of the atmospheric and oceanographic data, the strategy and methods for the visualization and mapping of oceanographic and atmospheric data, and the implementation of the methods in AODMDS. It also discusses some advanced display control techniques that expand the functions of ArcObjects One of the techniques is ＂gradient-fill-style color-map control,＂ which provides a feasible color-rich display control for all types of raster maps. As a stand-alone desktop GIS system built on AO, AODMDS provides effective data management and powerful mapping and visualization functions for atmospheric and oceanographic data.

摘要：[Objective] The objective of this paper was to study the simulation and implementation of structure and growth visualization system of artificial mixed stand. [Method] The mixed stand structure visualization model and growth visualization model were built on the base of the characteristics of mixed stand structure and the relationship between growth and environment; and the C# language and MOGRE graphics engine were used to establish the mixed stand structure and growth visualization system. [Result] The mixed stand structure visualization model and growth visualization model were built, as well as the mixed stand structure and growth visualization system. [Conclusion] This paper realized the visualization simulation of the mixed stand structure and growth.
