摘要：For classical orthogonal projection methods for large matrix eigenproblems, it may be much more difficult for a Ritz vector to converge than for its corresponding Ritz value when the matrix in question is non-Hermitian. To this end, a class of new refined orthogonal projection methods has been proposed. It is proved that in some sense each refined method is a composite of two classical orthogonal projections, in which each refined approximate eigenvector is obtained by realizing a new one of some Hermitian semipositive definite matrix onto the same subspace. A priori error bounds on the refined approximate eigenvector are established in terms of the sine of acute angle of the normalized eigenvector and the subspace involved. It is shown that the sufficient conditions for convergence of the refined vector and that of the Ritz value are the same, so that the refined methods may be much more efficient than the classical ones.

摘要：The projection process along a simple closed smooth curve of a nonexplosive diffusion process on a cornplete Riemannian manifold is defined in probabilistic way. The winding numbers of the pmjection process are clockwise and counterclockwise given. The symmetry of the diffusion process is shown to be equivalent to that for any closed smooth curve. the long time average winding numbers of the projection process in two different directions are equal.

摘要：Supersaturated designs are factorial designs in which the number of main effects is greater than the number of experimental runs. In this paper, a discrete discrepancy is proposed as a measure of uniformity for supersaturated designs, and a lower bound of this discrepancy is obtained asa benchmark of design uniformity. A construction method for uniform supersaturated designs via resolvable balanced incomplete block designs is also presented along with the investigation of properties of the resulting designs. The construction method shows a strong link between these two different kinds of designs.

摘要：This paper addresses the problem of testing goodness-of-fit for several important multivariate distributions: (I) Uniform distribution on p-dimensional unit sphere; (II) multivariate standard normal distribution; and (III) multivariate normal distribution with unknown mean vector and covariance matrix. The average projection type weighted Cramér-von Mises test statistic as well as estimated and weighted Cramér-von Mises statistics for testing distributions (I), (II) and (III) are constructed via integrating projection direction on the unit sphere, and the asymptotic distributions and the expansions of those test statistics under the null hypothesis are also obtained. Furthermore, the approach of this paper can be applied to testing goodness-of-fit for elliptically contoured distributions.
