摘要：Designing regional pattern is challenging for ecosystem restoration both in theory and in practice. The present study proposed a new approach to design regional pattern for ecosystem restoration with a case in the arid valley of Upper Minjiang River, SW China. The procedures are: (1) Determine the regional pattern of main environmental factors based on the relationships between the important environmental factors and the main geographical factors generated from DEM data. (2) Overlay the maps of the main environmental factors. (3) Generate a lookup table according to the species selection rule we proposed to link the candidate restoration species to the main environmental factors.(4) Determine the regional pattern of ecosystem restoration by positioning the restoration species in the map of environmental factors according to the lookup table. The regional restoration pattern designed in this way would be applicable not only to restoring a region, but also to predicting the future landscape change.

摘要：The objective of this paper is to study the issue of design efficiency for minimum projection uniformity designs. The results show that for orthogonal arrays with strength two, the minimum projection uniformity criterion is a good surrogate for the design efficiency criterion proposed by Cheng, Deng and Tang （2002）.

摘要：A design method of the apodizing functions for guided-wave four-port electrooptic tunable filter (EOTF) is proposed. As an example, the specific form of Gaussian apodizing function is designed by analyzing the crosstalk performance of EOTF. Crosstalk is calculated based on the transient response of the filter to an input optical pulse. It is concluded that crosstalk level below -30 dB for 20-Gb/s data rates and 100-GHz channel spacing is achievable with presently available substrate dimensions.

摘要：ENSO is an interannual mode which may be affected by external forcing, such as volcanic eruptions. Based on the reconstructed volcanic eruptions chronology and ENSO sequences, both 195 large volcanic eruptions (VEI≥4) and 398 ENSO (El Niño and La Niña) events were extracted from 1525 to 2000. An analysis of the correspondence between the large volcanic eruptions and ENSO events was performed by matching the large volcanic eruptions with the types and magnitudes of ENSO events present in the 0-2 years after the eruptions. The results show the following: (1) The percentages of ENSO events within the 3 years after the large eruptions had increased to 68.3% from 31.7% compared with those with no-eruptions in the previous 0-2 years. In addition, the ratio of El Niño to La Niña events turned from 2:3 to 1:1, and more El Niño events occurred in the 0 year after eruptions in the low-latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere and in the tropics but more La Niña events occurred in the 0 year after in the high-latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere. (2) After the eruptions, the weak (W) El Niño events had increased by 8 percentage points and the very strong (VS) El Niño events had decreased by 10 percentage points; conversely, there was a decrease by 15 percentage points of the weak La Niña events and an increase by 11.4 percentage points of the very strong La Niña events. Specifically, the percentages of strong La Niña events increased to a peak at 1 (+1) year after the eruptions. (3) The percentage of eruptions followed by single-year ENSO was the greatest. The percentage of ENSO events that occurred in the consecutive 2 years following an eruption was approximately equal to the percentage of events that occurred consecutively 3 years following an eruption, and both sets of ENSO magnitudes showed a decreasing trend.

摘要：Time-series photometry was made for the large-amplitude δ Scuff star AD CMi in 2005 and 2006. High-quality photometric data provided in the literature were used to analyze the pulsation of the star, with the derived multiple frequencies fitted to our new data. Besides the dominant frequency and its harmonics, one low frequency （2.27402 c d^-1） is discovered, which provides a reasonable interpretation for the long-noticed luminosity variation at the maximum and minimum light. Combining the nine new times of light maxima determined from the new data with the 64 times collected from the literature, we analyzed the long-term variability of AD CMi with the O - C technique. The results provide the updated value of period of 0.122974478 days, and seem to be in favor of the model of combination of the evolutionary effect and light-time effect of a binary system, of which some parameters are hereby deduced.

摘要：We propose a projection-type algorithm for generalized mixed variational in- equality problem in Euclidean space Rn. We establish the convergence theorem for the pro- posed algorithm, provided the multi-valued mapping is continuous and f-pseudomonotone with nonempty compact convex values on dom（f）, where f ： Rn --RU{＋∞} is a proper func- tion. The algorithm presented in this paper generalize and improve some known algorithms in literatures. Preliminary computational experience is also reported.

摘要：On the basis of the analysis of solidification interval and temperature distribution of components manufactured by the squeeze casting method, formulas for calculating the solidification interval and compaction pressure were deduced according to the principal request that the compaction pressure should be equal to or greater than the plastic deformation resistance of the forming component when solidification ended. The solidification interval was proven to be associated with many factors, such as weight of the component, specific heat of the alloy, latent heat, pouring temperature, component temperature at the end of solidification and heat-transfer coefficients. The compaction pressure was related to the strain rate, deformation temperature, and dimension of the de- forming component. The solidification interval and compaction pressure calculated by the formulas deduced in this article were adopted in the production of 45 steel bidirectional chapiter valves, and components with excellent oerformance were manufactured.
