It also pointed out that ＂happiness＂ narrative included the complex tension of reality in the effectiveness. 摘要：Academic writings, whether they are BA dissertations or semester papers, are important carriers of one＇s ideas and findings of their own study and research spheres. In academic papers, the most important part is the choice of topics which determines the macro direction of the paper. Important as it is, it is difficult for the English majors to choose the most appropriate topics with idea-invested thesis statements instead of some factual statements. Therefore, in order to make clear of the status quo and underlying obstacles of topic choosing, this paper is to study on 98 samples from china university of political science and law＇s junior English majors. By observing and analyzing their writings, the paper intends to fred out some possible and accessible methods to improve English majors＇ academic writing and offer some insights for teachers to make some adjustments in accordance with the status quo.

摘要：The use of ＂should＂ in the applied translation studies such as translators training, translation aids and translation criticism has proved to be one of the most important tools for progress in the discipline since Holme put forward the basic map of Translation Studies. In this paper, the author discusses mainly the use of ＂should＂ in translation criticism, arguing that, the many advantages to be had by this method notwithstanding, there are problems. For example, it is not always fair to judge one translator＇s work too soon and too sure; and offering overwhelming advice induces disrespect to the translator. For these reasons, the author argues, it is worth exploring ways of translation criticism beyond traditional mode of＂should＂ which may seem subversive of standard uses, either alone or in conjunction with Descriptive Translation Studies （DTS）.

摘要：Global governance largely grows out of the externalities in state governance. At present, global governance and state governance are integrated into a kind of ＂holistic governance＂ based on their interaction and interpenetration. Our understanding of their interplay can be traced back to ideas that developed from ancient Greek and Roman times to the early 20th century. More recently, from the second half of the 20^th century, theories of the interaction between global and state governance essentially revolved around the externalities in state governance and efforts to overcome those externalities by designing an ideal world. Today, the interaction between global and state governance is of great practical significance, serving to inspire the establishment of a global order based on sharing, integration and symbiotic harmony. However, we should also be aware that this interaction may be converted by great powers to the service of their own interests.
