摘要：The folk costume in waterside villages of Southern Yangtze in China was notonly daily consumer goods, but also a symbol system of folk-custom culture. This symbol system was directly conveyed by a series medley shape signs, many-faceted color signs and decorated craft signs of pleated skirt. Its origination, accumulation, continual process and development were greatly associated with the life style and paddy culture of waterside villages, such as the folk religion, social life, artistic philosophy, regional culture, the landform of waterside villages and the humanity environment. So the folk costume was the significant sign of practical function and also the significative sign of folk traditional culture, both of which composed the costume cultural symbol system of waterside villages of Southern Yangtze called ＂ integration of aesthetic and practical function＂.

摘要：This survey investigated different methods for translating Chinese brand names into *** of Pre-investigation show that five methods are most frequently used in translating Chinese Brand Names into English:English,Pinyin,Coinage,Acronym,and English+*** further experiments were *** results of Experiment 1 indicated that participants evaluated translations produced using English as their most favored and English as the most appropriate method to translate Chinese brand names,showing low interest in translations by Pinyin and *** results of Experiment 2 further supported the English method as the most favored one in comparison to the Acronym and English+Pinyin,methods,and likewise in the methods used to translate different categories of brands.A“Mother-Tongue”Effect is observed in *** study concludes that English is the most effective method for translating Chinese brand names.

摘要：The theoretical courses are very important for the students in the postgraduate phase because the students must have a good command of the theories and principles of the field to do their own research later. However, the issue of how to teach English major graduates theoretical courses effectively is the big headache both for teachers and students of English to tackle. The paper aims to introduce an integrated method of teaching English theoretical courses adopted by a teacher in foreign language School of Xi＇an Jiaotong University who taught ETTM course （English Teaching Theory and Methodology course）. And the method has employed the collaborative learning strategy and through a survey conducted among the students attended the course, and we find that the method has gained some effective teaching results. And the author of the paper also hopes that more attention should be paid to the probing better ways of teaching theoretical and specialty courses to English major graduates.

摘要：To solve the dimensional limitations of physical models in tests, an equivalent water depth truncated design for a classical SPAR working in 913 m water was investigated. The water depth was reduced to 736m and then to 552m. As this was done, the mooting line lengths, EA value, and mass per meter were adjusted. Truncation rules and formulas for parameters and truncation factors were proposed. SPAR static characteristics were made to be consistent with those at full water depth. Then further time-domain coupled analysis was carried out for the SPAR when the mooting system experienced waves. The mooring lines were simulated by quasi-static method. Global responses and mooring line forces were found to agree well with test results for a prototype at that water depth. The truncation method proved to be robust and reliable.
