摘要：Machine learning (ML) has been widely used todesign and develop new materials owing to its low computational cost and powerful predictive capabilities. In recentyears, the shortcomings of ML in materials science have gradually emerged, with a primary concern being the scarcity ofdata. It is challenging to build reliable and accurate ML modelsusing limited data. Moreover, the small sample size problemwill remain long-standing in materials science because of theslow accumulation of material data. Therefore, it is importantto review and categorize strategies for small-sample learningfor the development of ML in materials science. This reviewsystematically sorts the research progress of small-samplelearning strategies in materials science, including ensemblelearning, unsupervised learning, active learning, and transferlearning. The directions for future research are proposed, including few-shot learning, and virtual sample *** importantly, we emphasize the significance of embedding material domain knowledge into ML and elaborate on thebasic idea for implementing this strategy.

摘要：This paper analyzes cache coherency mechanism from the view of system. It firstly discusses caehe-memory hierarchy of Pentium Ⅲ SMP system, including memory area distribution, cache attributes control and bus transaction. Secondly it analyzes hardware snoopy mechanism of P6 bus and MESI state transitions adopted by Pentium Ⅲ. Based on these, it focuses on how muhiprocessors and the P6 bus cooperate to ensure cache coherency of the whole system, and gives the key of cache coherency design.

摘要：gStore is an open-source native Resource Description Framework （RDF） triple store that answers SPARQL queries by subgraph matching over RDF graphs. However, there are some deficiencies in the original system design, such as answering simple queries （including one-triple pattern queries）. To improve the efficiency of the system, we reconsider the system design in this paper. Specifically, we propose a new query plan generation module that generates different query plans according to the structures of query graphs. Furthermore, we re-design our vertex encoding strategy to achieve more pruning power and a new multi-join algorithm to speed up the subgraph matching process. Extensive experiments on synthetic and real RDF datasets show that our method outperforms the state-of-the-art algorithms significantly.

摘要：Nowadays, with improvements in the quality of life, people are paying more attention to their health. Traditional Chinese medicine offers great advantages for daily care. In this paper, we present the development of a remote health care system, namely, Chinese Pulse Condition Acquisition System （CPCAS）, based on the principle of Chinese pulse diagnosis in Chinese medicine and a wireless sensor network. We designed a remote health care terminal with a mini-pulse collection bench to overcome the challenge of differences in pulse characters of different people. An effective measured pressure control algorithm is proposed to achieve a balance between control accuracy and control time. The special signal conditioning circuit showed good performance in analog pulse signal processing. We also performed significant research to address the challenges of symptom recognition. Other distinctive features of this system include the following： intelligent sensing, a wireless health care network, effective energy management, small size, lightweight, and the ability to be networked for remote management. In this paper, we have introduced the design and implementation of CPCAS. We also demonstrate the use of the system and give evaluations on this system by several experiments. Our results indicate that CPCAS has significant practical feasibility.

摘要：Sensitivity loop shaping using add-on peak filters is a simple and effective method to reject narrow-band disturbances in hard disk drive （HDD） servo systems. The parallel peak filter is introduced to provide high-gain magnitude in the concerned frequency range of open-loop transfer function. Different from almost all the known peak filters that possess second-order structures, we explore in this paper bow high-order peak filters can be designed to improve the loop shaping performance. The main idea is to replace some of the constant coefficients of common second-order peak filter by frequency-related transfer functions, and then differential evolution （DE） algorithm is adopted to perform optimal design. We creatively introduce chromosome coding and fitness function design, which are original and the key steps that lead to the success of DE applications in control system design. In other words, DE is modified to achieve a novel design for hard disk drive control. Owing to the remarkable searching ability of DE, the expected shape of sensitivity function can be achieved by incorporating the resultant high-order peak filter in parallel with baseline feedback controller. As a result, a seventh-order peak filter is designed to compensate for contact-induced vibration in a high-density HDD servo system, where the benefits of high-order filter are clearly demonstrated.

摘要：The developable surface is an important surface in computer aided design, geometric modeling and industrial manufactory. It is often given in the standard parametric form, but it can also be in the implicit form which is commonly used in algebraic geometry. Not all algebraic developable surfaces have rational parametrizations. In this paper, the authors focus on the rational developable surfaces. For a given algebraic surface, the authors first determine whether it is developable by geometric inspection, and then give a rational proper parametrization in the affrmative case. For a rational parametric surface, the authors also determine the developability and give a proper reparametrization for the developable surface.

摘要：With the rapid growth in fingerprint databases, it has become necessary to develop excellent fingerprint indexing to achieve efficiency and accuracy. Fingerprint indexing has been widely studied with real-valued features,but few studies focus on binary feature representation, which is more suitable to identify fingerprints efficiently in large-scale fingerprint databases. In this study, we propose a deep compact binary minutia cylinder code（DCBMCC）as an effective and discriminative feature representation for fingerprint indexing. Specifically, the minutia cylinder code（MCC）, as the state-of-the-art fingerprint representation, is analyzed and its shortcomings are ***, we propose a novel fingerprint indexing method based on deep neural networks to learn *** novel network restricts the penultimate layer to directly output binary codes. Moreover, we incorporate independence, balance, quantization-loss-minimum, and similarity-preservation properties in this learning ***, a multi-index hashing（MIH） based fingerprint indexing scheme further speeds up the exact search in the Hamming space by building multiple hash tables on binary code substrings. Furthermore, numerous experiments on public databases show that the proposed approach is an outstanding fingerprint indexing method since it has an extremely small error rate with a very low penetration rate.

摘要：This paper presents the studies of the performance of an improved femto air bearing slider which is optimized based on the past studies and effort. The flying characteristics performance of this novel femto slider is relatively stable over different radii. This optimized slider achieved a flying height of 3 nm, with variation of about 0.2 nm. The variations for pitch and roll values are 6 μrad and 0.9 μrad respectively. In the studies for the effect of side rail on flying characteristics, it was found that there exists transition of pitch value when the side rail is located very close to the leading edge. The modulation of flying height reduces greatly when the areas of double shallow steps increase. The roll variation reduces when the flat double shallow steps profile is modified into a “V-Shape” profile.
