摘要：While many techniques have been developed for the design of different types of antennas,such as wire antenna,patch antenna,lenses,and reflectors,these cannot be said general-purpose strategies for the synthesis and design of antennas to achieve the performance characteristics specified by ***,there has been an increasing need for the development of antenna design techniques because of the advent of 5 G and a variety of space,defense,biological,and similar applications,for which a robust and general-purpose design tool is not to be *** main objective of this study is to take a look at antenna design from the field manipulation point of view,which has the potential to partially fulfill this *** review the existing field manipulation techniques,including field transformation methods based on Maxwell’s and wave equations,point out some limitations of these techniques,and then present ways to improve the performance of these ***,we introduce an alternative approach for field manipulation based on two-dimensional(2 D)metasurfaces,and present laws of the generalized reflection and refraction that are based on 2 D surface ***,we explore how to overcome the limitations of conventional reflection and refraction processes that are strictly bounded by the critical ***,we provide some application examples of field manipulation methods in the antenna design,with a view on developing a general-purpose strategy for antenna design for future communication.

摘要：In this paper, an efficient technique for optimal design of digital infinite impulse response （IIR） filter with minimum passband error （ep）, minimum stopband error （es）, high stopband attenuation （As）, and also free from limit cycle effect is proposed using cuckoo search （CS） algorithm. In the proposed method, error function, which is multi-model and non-differentiable in the heuristic surface, is constructed as the mean squared difference between the designed and desired response in frequency domain, and is optimized using CS algorithm. Computational efficiency of the proposed technique for exploration in search space is examined, and during exploration, stability of filter is maintained by considering lattice representation of the denominator polynomials, which requires less computational complexity as well as it improves the exploration ability in search space for designing higher filter taps. A comparative study of the proposed method with other algorithms is made, and the obtained results show that 90% reduction in errors is achieved using the proposed method. However, computational complexity in term of CPU time is increased as compared to other existing algorithms.

摘要：An intelligent security systems engineering approach is used to analyze fire and explosive critical incidents, a growing concern in urban communities. A feed-forward back-propagation neural network models the damages arising from these critical incidents. The overall goal is to promote fire safety and sustainable security. The intelligent security systems engineering prediction model uses a fully connected multilayer neural network, and considers a number of factors related to the fire or explosive incident including the type of property affected, the time of day, and the ignition source. The network was trained on a large number of critical incident records reported in Toronto, Canada between 2000 and 2006. Our intelligent security systems engineering approach can help emergency responders by improving cr^tical incident analysis, sustainable security, and fire risk management.

摘要：In this paper, we present a full scheme for the cooperative control of multiple unmanned aerial vehicle （UAV） helicopters. We adopt the leader-follower pattern to maintain a fixed geometrical formation while navigating the UAVs following certain trajectories. More specifically, the leader is commanded to fly on some predefined trajectories, and each follower is controlled to maintain its position in formation using the measurement of its inertial position and the information of the leader position and velocity, obtained through a wireless modem. More specifications are made for multiple UAV formation flight. In order to avoid possible collisions of UAV helicopters in the actual formation flight test, a collision avoidance scheme based on some predefined alert zones and protected zones is employed. Simulations and experimental results are presented to verify our design.

摘要：In this paper, we design and characterize a novel small size four-channel biosensor based on the two-dimensional photonic crystal with introducing waveguides and nano-cavities in the hexagonal lattice of air pores in the silicon slab. By removing a group of air pores, waveguides are achieved, and nano-cavities are shaped by modifying the radius of air pores. Highly parallel operation of this biosensor due to the special architecture is the capability of the designed structure. The biomaterials which are suspended in a liquid medium inside nano-cavities cause effective refractive index changes which lead to the resonant wavelength shift in the output terminal. According to results, with increasing the refractive index of nano-cavities, resonant wavelengths shifts to longer values. For biochemical sensing like DNA molecule and protein and for the refractive index detection, this novel designed biosensor can be utilized.

摘要：Abstract：control law for both linear and nonlinear systems. By introducing a penalty function, the method can be mod- ified to deal with systems with constraints. Compared with existing computational methods, the proposed method can be implemented in a straightforward manner. The convergent solutions can be achieved by selecting suitable PSO parameters regardless of the initial guess of the switching times. A double integrator and a third-order nonlinear system are used tO demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method. The method is applied to obtain the time-optimal control law for a high performance linear motion positioning system. The results show the practicality of the proposed algorithm.
