摘要：Traditional planar inductors in Radio Frequency （RF） Integrated Circuits （ICs） are plagued by large areas, low quality, and low frequencies. This paper describes a magnetic-based CMOS-compatible RF in- ductor. Magnetic-core inductors with various ferrite-filled structures, spiral structures, and magnetic material permeabilities were simulated to show that this inductor greatly improves the inductance by up to 97% and quality factor by 18.6% over a multi-GHz frequency range. The results indicate that the inductor is a very promising and viable solution to realize miniature, high quality, and high frequency on-chip inductors for high-end RF ICs.

摘要：A VUV beamline at the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility （SSRF） for angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy （ARPES） measurements is designed. To increase the resolution and bulk sensitivity, a photon energy as low as 7 eV is desired. Because the reflectivity for p-polarized photons strongly decreases when the photon energy is below 30 eV, the design of a high flux beamline for low energy VUV photons is a challenge. This work shows a variable including angle Varied Line-space Plane-Grating Monochromator （VLPGM） with varied grating depth （VGD） which can achieve both high resolution and high flux with broad energy coverage.

摘要：This paper describes a novel model known as the shadow obstacle model to generate a realistic comer-tuming behavior in crowd simulation. The motivation for this model comes from the observation that people tend to choose a safer route rather than a shorter one when turning a comer. To calculate a safer route, an optimization method is proposed to generate the corner-turning rule that maximizes the viewing range for the agents. By combining psychological and physical forces together, a full crowd simulation framework is established to provide a more realistic crowd simulation. We demonstrate that our model produces a more realistic comer-turning behavior by comparison with real data obtained from the experiments. Finally, we per- form parameter analysis to show the believability of our model through a series of experiments.

摘要：New empirical formulas of the transmission coefficient for permeable breakwaters were suggested based on available experimental data regarding the low-crest structure （LCS）, including the permeable rubble mound breakwater and pile-type breakwater. The rationality of the present formulas was verified by their comparison with existing empirical and analytical formulas. Numerical flume results were obtained by solving the modified Boussinessq-type wave equations （MBEs）, and a new expression relating the friction coefficient of to the relative submerged depth Rt/H8 was also derived. Comparative analysis shows that the results of the present formulas agree with the numerical flume results as well as available experimental data, and the present formulas are superior to the existing empirical and analytical expressions in estimating the transmission coefficient. The present formulas can provide references for estimation of the transmission coefficient in engineering practice.

摘要：Active queue management （AQM） can maintain smaller queuing delay and higher throughput by purposefully dropping packets at intermediate nodes. Most of the existing AQM schemes follow the probability dropping mechanism originating from random early detection （RED）. This paper develops a novel packet dropping mechanism for AQM through designing an ONOFF controller applying the variable structure control theory. Because the binary ONOFF controller can considerably simplify the manipulation on the AQM router, it is helpful for implementing the high performance router. The design principles of ONOFF controller are discussed in detail. The guidelines towards parameter settings are presented. The performance is extensively evaluated and compared with other well-known controllers through simulations and theoretical analysis. The results demonstrate that the ONOFF controller is responsive and robust against external disturbances, and is insensitive to variances of the system parameters. Therefore, it is very suitable for the time- varying network system, and at the same time, it can also keep the instantaneous queue length at a desired level with rather small oscillations, which is conducive to achieving the technical objectives of AQM.

摘要：In this paper, an efficient technique for optimal design of digital infinite impulse response （IIR） filter with minimum passband error （ep）, minimum stopband error （es）, high stopband attenuation （As）, and also free from limit cycle effect is proposed using cuckoo search （CS） algorithm. In the proposed method, error function, which is multi-model and non-differentiable in the heuristic surface, is constructed as the mean squared difference between the designed and desired response in frequency domain, and is optimized using CS algorithm. Computational efficiency of the proposed technique for exploration in search space is examined, and during exploration, stability of filter is maintained by considering lattice representation of the denominator polynomials, which requires less computational complexity as well as it improves the exploration ability in search space for designing higher filter taps. A comparative study of the proposed method with other algorithms is made, and the obtained results show that 90% reduction in errors is achieved using the proposed method. However, computational complexity in term of CPU time is increased as compared to other existing algorithms.
