摘要：Systems for ambient assisted living(AAL) that integrate service robots with sensor networks and user monitoring can help elderly people with their daily activities, allowing them to stay in their homes and live active lives for as long as possible. In this paper, we outline the AAL system currently developed in the European project Robot-Era, and describe the engineering aspects and the serviceoriented software architecture of the domestic robot, a service robot with advanced manipulation capabilities. Based on the robot operating system(ROS) middleware, our software integrates a large set of advanced algorithms for navigation, perception, and manipulation. In tests with real end users, the performance and acceptability of the platform are evaluated.

摘要：With the significant advancement in emerging processor, memory, and networking technologies, exascale systems will become available in the next few years （2020 2022）. As the exascale systems begin to be deployed and used, there will be a continuous demand to run next-generation applications with finer granularity, finer time-steps, and increased data sizes. Based on historical trends, next-generation applications will require post-exascale systems during 2025-2035. In this study, we focus on the networking and communication challenges for post-exascale systems. Firstly, we present an envisioned architecture for post-exascale systems. Secondly, the challenges are summarized from different perspectives： heterogeneous networking technologies, high-performance eonmmnication and synchronization protocols, integrated support with accelerators and field-programmable gate arrays, fault-tolerance and quality-of-service support, energy-aware communication schemes and protocols, software- defined networking, and scalable communication protocols with heterogeneous memory and storage. Thirdly, we present the challenges in designing efficient programming model support for high-performance computing, big data, and deep learning on these systems. Finally, we emphasize the critical need for co-designing runtime with upper layers on these systems to achieve the maximum performance and scalability.

摘要：This paper proposes a comprehensive thermodynamic and economic model to predict and compare the performance of concentrated solar power plants with traditional and novel receivers with different configurations involving operating temperatures and *** simulation results reveal that power plants with novel receivers exhibit a superior thermodynamic and economic performance compared with traditional *** annual electricity productions of power plants with novel receivers in Phoenix,Sevilla,and Tuotuohe are 8.5%,10.5%,and 14.4%higher than those with traditional receivers at the outlet temperature of 550℃.The levelized cost of electricity of power plants with double-selectivecoated receivers can be decreased by 6.9%,8.5%,and 11.6%.In Phoenix,the optimal operating temperature of the power plants is improved from 500℃to 560℃by employing a novel ***,the sensitivity analysis of the receiver heat loss,solar absorption,and freeze protection temperature is also conducted to analyze the general rule of influence of the receiver performance on power plants *** absorption has a positive contribution to annual electricity productions,whereas heat loss and freeze protection temperature have a negative effect on electricity *** results indicate that the novel receiver coupled with low melting temperature molten salt is the best configuration for improving the overall performance of the power plants.

摘要：In this paper we present a motion compensation (MC) design for the newest Audio Video coding Standard (AVS) of China. Because of compression-efficient techniques of variable block size (VBS) and sub-pixel interpolation, intensive pixel calculation and huge memory access are required. We propose a parallel serial filtering mixed luma interpolation data flow and a three-stage multiplication free chroma interpolation scheme. Compared to the conventional designs, the integrated architecture supports about 2.7 times filtering throughput. The proposed MC design utilizes Vertical Z processing order for reference data re-use and saves up to 30% memory bandwidth. The whole design requires 44.3k gates when synthesized at 108 MHz clock frequency using 0.18-μm CMOS technology and can support up to 1920×1088@30 fps AVS HDTV video decoding.

摘要：Group velocity mismatch becomes the main obstacle for frequency conversion of ultrashort pulses due to dispersion. To solve the problem, one design is proposed for group velocity compensated second harmonic generation in a periodically modulated BBO crystal structure： the α-BBO/β-BBO multi-layer microstructure. The results show that the device can be well applied from the visible red to the near infrared region.

摘要：Quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) based on cryptography is a new paradigm in the field of nanotechnology. The overall performance of QCA is high compared to traditional complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology. To achieve data security during nanocommunication, a cryptography-based application is proposed. The devised circuit encrypts the input data and passes it to an output channel through a nanorouter cum data path selector, where the data is decrypted back to its original form. The results along with theoretical implication prove the accuracy of the circuit. Power dissipation and circuit complexity of the circuit have been analyzed.

摘要：Two-dimensional （2D） elliptically cylindrical invisible cloaks with multiple regions are designed based on the trans-formation optics and the complementary media theory. Multiple invisible cloak regions can be obtained by properly using the compressed or folded transformation in each space layer. The constitutive parameter tensor expressions for each re- gion have been obtained. The results of full wave simulations by using finite element software confirm the validity of the constitutive parameter tensor expressions. In addition, the parameters are relatively easier to realize.

摘要：We propose the spectrum allocation and resource scheduling algorithms in cognitive point to multipoint (PMP) networks with rapid changes of spectrum opportunities and present a media access control (MAC) protocol based on these algorithms. The objective of spectrum allocation is to make efficient use of the spectrum while maintaining the transceiver synchronization on frequency and time in the network. The objective of resource scheduling is to guarantee the quality of service (QoS) requirements of different kinds of connections and to minimize the total energy consumption in the network as well. By sensing only a small set of possible channels in each slot based on the state transition probability of each channel, our spectrum allocation algorithm achieves high spectrum efficiency in the network. The resource scheduling problem is divided into three sub problems and we derive optimal solutions to these problems by greedy algorithm and convex optimization. The simulation results show that our algorithm can make efficient use of the spectrum and the network resources at a cost of low computational complexity.
