摘要：Systematic characterization of available crop varieties using morphological traits is needed to fuel breeders’ efforts in African eggplant. Twenty-eight accessions of African eggplant from three species of Solanum aethiopicum (16), Solanum macrocarpon (9) and Solanum anguivi (3) were characterized using standard morphological descriptors. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. The results indicated distinct and wide variations between the three Solanum species studied. There were however a lot of similarities between the S. aethiopicum and S. anguivi lines. This suggests the two materials being closer to each other than they are to the S. macrocarpon.

摘要：This study aimed to identify the potential of shrub legumes as protein feed in West Timor. Eight shrub legumes, i. e., Clitoria ternatea Q5455 (CT Q5455), Clitoria ternatea millgara (CT millgara), Centrosema pascuorum bundey (CP bundey), Centrosema pascuorum molle (CP molle), Macroptilium bracteatum juanita (MB Juanita), Macroptilium bracteatum cadaarga (MB cadaarga), Dolichos lablab (DL) and Stylossanthes seabrana (SS) were evaluated for their yield and nutritive value in Randomized Block Design. Each legume was cultivated in four plots of different soil fertility as block (5 × 5 m2 per plot). Phosphorus (P) fertilizer was applied once just before planting at level of 50 kg ha-1. Watering was done three times per week using sprinkler. The legumes were harvested at 120 days after planting (dap) in three sub-plots of 1 × 1 m2 size for their yield measurement. Samples of each legume was taken for Dry Matter (DM), Organic Matter (OM), Crude Protein (CP), cellulose, hemi-cellulose and lignin content and in vitro DM, OM and CP digestibility test. Data were statistically analyzed using Genstat release 12.2. The results showed that the legumes showed significantly different (P 0.05) of DM digestibility of the eight legumes, except for DL which showed significantly highest (P < 0.01) DM and OM digestibility compared to the other.

摘要：Ankylosing spondylitis(AS) is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects 1% of the general population. As one of the most severe types of spondyloarthropathy, AS affects the spinal vertebrae and sacroiliac joints, causing debilitating pain and loss of mobility. The goal of this review is to provide an overview of AS, from the pathophysiological changes that occur as the disease progresses, to genetic factors that are involved with its onset. Considering the high prevalence in the population, and the debilitating life changes that occur as a result of the disease, a strong emphasis is placed on the diagnostic imaging methods that are used to detect this condition, as well as several treatment methods that could improve the health of individuals diagnosed with AS.

摘要：Power-line networks are designed to deliver electricity. They reach most of the domiciles and other buildings nowadays, so most of the people have access to it. On the other hand the backbone for the communications networks is not available in all countries especially the developing ones. A high cost and changing the design for the networks may be needed to construct this backbone. If data can be transmitted over the power-line networks, a recognized cost and time save can be achieved. In Egypt, the infrastructure is not always available for constructing a communications network backbone due to the already designed buildings before the need for these backbones. In this paper, we overcome this problem by designing a reliable Power-line Modem that operates safely on the low voltage grid. The modem is based on the Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum technique. It uses the mains zero crossing as an efficient way for the synchronization between the transmitter and the receiver. The Modem takes into account the problems of the Power-line including noise, attenuation and impedance dismatching.

摘要：近年来实效性临床试验受到更多重视,尤其在传统医学临床评价研究领域。为了提高实效性临床试验报告的质量,CONSORT声明组和医疗保健体系中的实效性随机对照临床试验(pragmatic randomized controlled trials in health care systems,PRACTIHC)小组对《CONSORT声明》进行了修改,以帮助读者评估试验质量和结果的可靠性。实效性试验报告指南,作为《CONSORT声明》的一个特殊扩展,能在报告、评价和应用实效性试验方面帮助编辑、系统评价者、试验设计者和决策者评估实效性试验报告中的信息,判定其结论是否适用,以及干预措施是否可行、可否被接受。2005年1月和2008年3月,在加拿大多伦多分别举行了为期两天的会议来探讨提高随机对照试验对卫生保健决策贡献的方法,焦点集中于实效性试验。2005年会,后扩展版草案修订清单发送至编写组成员,经过几次修订,编写组起草了一份摘要草案。在2008年讨论并修改了这一草案。这份草案发给CONSORT声明组以供修改并发表。这份声明的扩展版提出了对8个条目的补充。及时向国内读者和临床试验研究人员介绍该指南有重要的现实意义和学术价值。北京中医药大学循证医学中心刘建平教授等在短时间内翻译了该指南。本刊希望通过介绍中文版"提高实效性临床试验报告的质量——《CONSORT声明》的扩展"以提高国内实效性临床试验报告的质量,相信也有助于改进试验设计的方法学质量。
