The Algorithm II in this paper has further extended those developed by Dawson and the others, Zhang and Shen.

摘要：Some test statistics of Kolmogorov type and Cramér-von Mises type based on projection pursuit technique are proposed for the testing problem of sphericity of a high-dimensional distribution. The limiting distributions of the test statistics are derived under the null hypothesis and under any fixed alternative. The asymptotic properties of bootstrap approximation are investigated. Furthermore, for computational reasons, an approximation for the statistics, based on the number theoretic method, is suggested.

摘要：Using outward rotations, we obtain an approximation algorithm for MAXn/2-UNCUT problem, i.e., partitioning the vertices of a weighted graph into two blocks of equalcardinality such that the total weight of edges that do not cross the cut is maximized. In manyinteresting cases, the algorithm performs better than the algorithms of Ye and of Halperin andZwick. The main tool used to obtain this result is semidefinite programming.

摘要：In this paper, a new unsteady aerodynamic design method is presented based on the Navier-Stokes equations and a continuous adjoint approach. A basic framework of time-accurate unsteady airfoil optimization which adopts time-averaged aerodynamic coefficients as objective functions is presented. The time-accurate continuous adjoint equation and its boundary conditions are derived. The flow field and the adjoint equation are simulated numerically by the finite volume method （FVM）. Feasibility and accuracy of the approach are perfectly validated by the design optimization results of the plunging NACA0012 airfoil.

摘要：A theoretical scheme is derived to achieve the numerical simulation of helical flux compression generator （HFCG） design, by which not only any physical approximation is not made, but also numerical simulation can be fast obtained. In particular, an analytic formula to calculate the inductance is deduced, which is extremely close to the experimental results. The physical process of relevant interesting physical quantity, such as inductance, enlarging current, and magnetic flux density, can be calculated to compare with the experimentally quantitative results.

摘要：An improved constant volume cycle （CVC） model is developed to analyze the nozzle effects on the thrust and specific impulse of pulse detonation rocket engine （PDRE）. Theoretically, this model shows that the thrust coefficient/specific impulse of PDRE is a function of the nozzle contraction/expansion ratio and the operating frequency. The relationship between the nozzle contraction ratio and the operation frequency is obtained by introducing the duty ratio, by which the key problem in the theoretical design can be solved. Therefore, the performance of PDRE can be accessed to guide the preliminary shape design of nozzle conveniently and quickly. The higher the operating frequency of PDRE is, the smaller the nozzle contraction ratio should be. Besides, the lower the ambient pressure is, the larger the expansion ratio of the nozzle should be. When the ambient pressure is 1.013 × 105 Pa, the optimal expansion ratio will be less than 2.26. When the ambient pressure is reduced to vacuum, the extremum of the optimal thrust coefficient is 2.236 9, and the extremum of the specific impulse is 321.01 s. The results of the improved model are verified by numerical simulation.

摘要：Stimulated by the success of graphene and diamond, a variety of carbon allotropes have been discovered in recent years in either two-dimensional or three-dimensional configurations. Although these emerging carbon allotropes share some common features, they have certain different and novel mechanical or physical properties. In this review, we present a comparative survey of some of the major properties of fifteen newly discovered carbon allotropes. By comparing their structural topology, we propose a general route for designing most carbon allotropes from two mother structures, namely, graphene and diamond. Furthermore, we discuss several future prospects as well as current challenges in designing new carbon allotropes.

摘要：This paper is basically a survey to show a number of combinatorial optimization problems arising from VLSI circuit design. Some of them including the existence problem, minimax problem, net representation, bend minimization, area minimization, placement problem, routing problem, etc. are especially discussed with new results and theoretical ideas for treating them. Finally, a number of problems for further research are mentioned.
