摘要：Immune evasion behavior and immunosuppressive characteristics of tumor extensively impedethe immune initiation effect of therapy triggered immunogeniccell death (ICD). In this work, a carrier-adjuvantedimmunostimulator (designated as CoCeC) is developed toboost photodynamic immunotherapy by downregulatingprogrammed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) and impairing adenosinetriphosphate (ATP) hydrolysis. Among these, the crosslinkedchitosan oligosaccharide is applied as the drug carrier fordelivery of Ce6 and Ceritinib, which also serves as an immuneadjuvant to downregulate PD-L1. Meanwhile, the robustphotodynamic therapy (PDT) of CoCeC exhibits lethal toxicityagainst tumor cells to induce ICD and release damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs), which can also impairATP hydrolysis by blocking CD39. In vitro and in vivo resultsdemonstrate the robust therapeutic efficacy of CoCeC tosuppress primary tumor growth and activate a superior immune elimination against lung metastasis by amplifying theimmune initiation of ICD with the assistance of immune *** work provides a self-adjuvanted strategy to enhance the immune response of therapy induced ICD, which ispromising to activate systemic antitumor immunity in consideration of the complicated immunosuppressive factors.

摘要：In this study, by using the response speed and the number of errors resulting from the children’s concentration test through the fuzzy inference system and comparing it to the theta which is one of the EEG’s parameter to find the level of concentration. Targeting 21(Male 12, Female 9) healthy children between the ages of 10 - 14, the test was conducted one time with a duration of 14 minutes. For the first 5 minutes the children were listening to the Bach’s Air on a G string having a steady state and the next 9 minutes the children were subjected to the external stimuli audiogenic stimulation that induces attention concentration. When the number 3 was heard, children were subjected to press down on the spacebar to check the response speed and the number of errors. By conducting computerized neurocognitive function test to compare the theta wave related to the concentration with the response speed and the number of errors that determines the attention concentration through the fuzzy system, the data from 15 children out of 21 have shown the results for the concentration. In order to check the concentration level, a fuzzy inference system which was designed by the user could be used.

摘要：This paper proposes an additive nanomanufacturing approach to fabricate a personalized lab-on-a-chip fluorescent peptide nanoparticles （f-PNPs） array for simultaneous multi-biomarker detection that can be used in Alzheimer＇s disease （AD） diagnosis. We will discuss optimization techniques for the additive nanomanufacturing process in terms of reliability, yield and manufacturing efficiency. One contribution of this paper lies in utilization of additive nanomanufacturing techniques to fabricate a patient-specific customize-designed lab-on-a-chip device for personalized AD diagnosis, which remains a major challenge for biomedical engineering. Through the integrated bio-design and bio-manufacturing process, doctor＇s check- up and computer-aided customized design are integrated into the lab-on-a-chip array for patient-specific AD diagnosis. In addition, f-PNPs with targeting moieties for personalized AD biomarkers will be self-assembled onto the customized lab-on-a- chip through the additive nanomanufacturing process, which has not been done before. Another contribution of this research is the personalized lab-on-a-chip f-PNPs array for AD diagnosis utilizing limited human blood. Blood-based AD assessment has been described as ＂the holy grail＂ of early AD detection. This research created the computer-aided design, fabrication through additive nanomanufacturing, and validation of the f-PNPs array for AD diagnosis. This is a highly interdisciplinary research contributing to nanotechnology, biomaterials, and biomedical engineering for neurodegenerative disease. The conceptual work is preliminary with intent to introduce novel techniques to the application. Large-scale manufacturing based on the proposed framework requires extensive validation and optimization.

摘要：In this paper, we report the design and moleculardocking study of analogues of antimycin A3 as inhibitors of anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 of breast cancer. Twenty designed compounds and the original antimycin A3 were docked based on their interaction with breast tumor receptor binding target Bcl-2. The docking resulted in the five top-ranked compounds, namely, compounds 11, 14, 15, 16, and 20, which have a lower G binding energy, better affinity and stronger hydrogen bonding interactions to the active site of Bcl-2 than antimycin A3. Among those five top-ranked compounds, analogue compounds 11 and 14, which have an 18-membered tetralactone core and 18-membered tetraol core, respectively, exhibited the strongest hydrogen bond interaction, formed high stability conformation, and demonstrated the greatest inhibitory activity on the catalytic site of Bcl-2.
