摘要：A new kind （two end readout） of Multi-gap Resistive Plate Chamber with long readout-strip （LMRPC） is developed to be used at the large-area Muon Telescope Detector （MTD） at mid-rapidity at RHIC/STAR experiment for Time-of-Flight （TOF） measurement. The LMRPC has an active area of 87 cm× 17 cm, 10 gas gaps of 250 μm arranged in 2 stacks, with readout strips of 2.5 cm wide and 90 cm long. The considerations in LMRPC design related to its performance are discussed in this paper. The cosmic ray test results of a prototype LMRPC show a detection efficiency 〉95% and the time resolution -70 ps.

摘要：The design and implementation of FPGA-and-USB-based control board for quantum experiments are discussed. The usage of quantum true random number generator,control-logic in FPGA and communication with computer through USB protocol are proposed in this paper. Programmable controlled signal input and output ports are implemented. The error-detections of data frame header and frame length are designed. This board has been used in our decoy-state based quantum key distribution (QKD) system successfully.

摘要：A high detection efficiency calorimeter which is used to detect γ-rays with energies from 1 MeV up to 10 MeV as well as light charged particles has been proposed. Design of the geometry, results of the crystal tests and Monte Carlo simulations are presented in this paper. The simulation results confirm that the calorimeter can obtain high detection efficiency and good energy resolution with the current designed geometry. And the calorimeter is competent for the future External Target Facility （ETF） experiments.

摘要：We designed a universal digital energy spectroscopy based on online digital signal processing. A prototype system was built and tested. Signals from radiation detectors were processed via a digital filter whose coefficients could be modified without changing the hardware. The paper introduces the hardware design of the digital energy spectroscopy system as well as the full set of software consisting of the selection of the coefficients of the finite impulse response (FIR) filter and the coding in the field-programmable gate array (FPGA). The system was tested with the high purity germanium (HPGe) detector. The results showed that this prototype can achieve an energy resolution close to that of a traditional multi-channel analyzer (MCA) with a much higher counting rate.
