摘要：In virtual simulation application, it is often necessary to use Open GL to render large-scale 3D static scenes including urban architectures. Each scene unit generally has individual vertex data and texture. For large-scale data set, it is hard to render all scene units simultaneously. We need to render part of the scene separately, which is called the scene partition and culling. In general, we partition the whole scene into different units on the CPU. We present a scheme that optimize the GPU rendering pipeline to cull the large-scale static scene, which will reduce the CPU suspending time and take full advantage of GPU computing advantages to speed up the rendering efficiency.

摘要：Static, passive, filters present an economic and simple solution to the harmonic distortion at the distribution level and at the same time supply the required reactive power for voltage support and/or power factor correction. Applying these filters to a distribution network, if not properly designed, may have an adverse effect on the network. This paper presents analysis of the effects of using passive harmonic filters in a power distribution networks. The driving point impedance at the node where the filter installed, as a measure of how harmonic currents would produce harmonic voltages, is determined as function of the filter parameters. Hence, effects of filter parameters on the system impedance, parallel resonant frequency and impedance at resonance are illustrated. The effects of using more than one filter are also examined. A method for the optimal design of a passive filter considering the component limits, harmonic distortion limits and parameter tolerances is also presented. The proposed optimization model has proved its effectiveness through application to measurements at a real distribution feeder.

摘要：Random Projection Code (RPC) is a mechanism that combines channel coding and modulation together and realizes rate adaptation in the receiving end. Random projection code’s mapping matrix has significant influences on decoding performance as well as hardware implementation complexity. To reduce hardware implementation complexity, we design a quasi-cyclic mapping matrix for RPC codes. Compared with other construction approaches, our design gets rid of data filter component, thus reducing chip area 7284.95 um2, and power consumption 331.46 uW in 0.13 um fabrication. Our simulation results show that our method does not cause any performance loss and even gets 0.2 dB to 0.5 dB gain at BER 10-4.
