摘要：A series of novel dihydro-alkylthio-benzyl-oxopyrimidines （S-DABOs） 7a-f have been designed and synthesized with an efficient method. Biological evaluation of their HIV-1 reverse transcriptase inhibitory activities was performed using Nevirapine （NVP） as a reference compound. Among the series, compound 7d shows the highest reverse transcriptase inhibitory activity, which is better than Nevirapine.

摘要：In the present study, a chitosan-coated calcium phosphate nanoparticle（CS/CaP/siRNA NP） was developed to deliver si RNA for treatment of cervical cancer. The CS/CaP/siRNA NPs were prepared by the nano-precipitation method. The resulted NPs had a uniform spherical morphology with a size of ～194 nm and a zeta potential of ～＋27 mV. In vitro experiments demonstrated that these NPs could efficiently deliver si EGFR into Hela cells and significantly down-regulate the EGFR expression level, which was probably associated with enhanced cell adhesion of chitosan, leading to extended residence time of cell internalization. Then the internalized CS/CaP/siRNA NPs exhibited pH-responsive disassembly of NPs, resulting in the enhanced release of si RNA and rapid lysosomal escape into cytoplasm. Moreover, in vivo anticancer results showed that the CS/CaP/siRNA NPs had significant inhibitory effects on tumor growth after intratumoral injection in Hela tumor xenografted nude mice, accompanying with no obvious changes of body weight during the whole experimental period. All these results indicated that the CS/CaP/siRNA NPs would have great potential to deliver si RNA for the treatment of cervical cancer via mucosal administration.

摘要：In recent years, it has been reported that WM (working memory) is concerned with word generation, but many points regarding the relationship between the individual differences of WM capacity and the patterns of word generation remain unclear. This study is to investigate these unclear points by using three types of word fluency task with different strategies. Subjects were 28 healthy native speakers of Japanese with an average age of 22.46 - 3.26 years old. The experimental design included the following two tasks: (1) Japanese reading span test: Subjects were divided into the high-span, middle-span, and low-span WM capacity groups on the basis of the proportion of words recalled correctly; and (2) Word fluency task (category, letter, and verb conditions): In this task, subjects gave as many words as possible that were associated with each stimulus word within 60 s; four stimulus words in each category were used with 12 words in all. As a result, it has become clear that the high-span group with larger WM capacity can generate more words in number than the other groups and is superior in word generating capacity to them and that the low-span group with smaller WM capacity is the highest in the proportion of words generated in the first 15 s when their vocabulary is abundant, while it is the lowest during 45-60 s when their vocabulary dries up. The results suggest that WM capacity is involved in the ability to extract appropriate vocabulary from long-term memory information in immediate response.

摘要：A molecular [Ru(bda)]-type(bda = 2,2’-bipyridine-6,6’-dicarboxylate) water oxidation catalyst with 4-vinylpyridine as the axial ligand(Complex 1) was immobilized or co-immobilized with 1-(trifluoromethyl)-4-vinylbenzene(3 F) or styrene(St) blocking units on the surface of glassy carbon(GC) electrodes by electrochemical polymerization, in order to prepare the corresponding poly-1@GC, poly-1+P3 F@GC, and poly-1+PSt@GC functional electrodes. Kinetic measurements of the electrode surface reaction revealed that [Ru(bda)] triggers the O–O bond formation via(1) the radical coupling interaction between the two metallo-oxyl radicals(I2 M) in the homo-coupling polymer(poly-1), and(2) the water nucleophilic attack(WNA) pathway in poly-1+P3 F and poly-1+PSt copolymers. The comparison of the three electrodes revealed that the second coordination sphere of the water oxidation catalysts plays vital roles in stabilizing their reaction intermediates, tuning the O–O bond formation pathways and improving the water oxidation reaction kinetics without changing the first coordination structures.
