摘要：Influenced by the environment and nodes status,the quality of link is not always stable in actual wireless sensor networks( WSNs). Poor links result in retransmissions and more energy consumption. So link quality is an important issue in the design of routing protocol which is not considered in most traditional clustered routing protocols. A based on energy and link quality's routing protocol( EQRP) is proposed to optimize the clustering mechanism which takes into account energy balance and link quality factors. EQRP takes the advantage of high quality links to increase success rate of single communication and reduce the cost of communication. Simulation shows that,compared with traditional clustered protocol,EQRP can perform 40% better,in terms of life cycle of the whole network.

摘要：In order to reduce transmission loss of the optical waveguide in Mach-Zehnder (M-Z) electro-optical (EO) polymer modulator,the basic iterative formula of semi-vector finite-difference beam propagation method (FD-BPM) is obtained from the scalar wave equation. The transition waveguide is combined with S-type bend branch waveguide for the M-Z EO modulator in the branch waveguide. The effects of structure parameters such as ridge width,length of the branch waveguide and interferometer spacing on the transmission loss are systematically studied by using the semi-vector FD-BPM method. The structure is optimized as an S-sine bend branch waveguide,with rib width w=7μm,length of branch waveguide L=1200μm and interferometer spacing G=22 μm. The results show that the optimized structure can reduce transmission loss to 0.083 dB,which have a certain reference value to the design of optical waveguide in M-Z polymer modulator.

摘要：A novel mapping equivalent approach is proposed in this paper, which can be used for analyzing and realizing a memristor-based dynamical circuit equivalently by a nonlinear dynamical circuit with the same topologies and circuit parameters. A memristor-based chaotic circuit and the corresponding Chua＇s chaotic circuit with two output differentiators are taken as examples to illustrate this approach. Equivalent dynamical analysis and realization of the memristor-based chaotic circuit are performed by using Chua＇s chaotic circuit. The results indicate that the outputs of memristor-based chaotic circuit and the corresponding outputs of Chua＇s chaotic circuit have identical dynamics. The proposed approach verified by numerical simulations and experimental observations is useful in designing and analyzing memristor-based dynamical circuits.

摘要：Marginal Fisher analysis （MFA） is a repre- sentative margin-based learning algorithm for face recognition. A major problem in MFA is how to select appropriate parameters, k1 and k2, to construct the respective intrinsic and penalty graphs. In this paper, we propose a novel method called nearest-neighbor （NN） classifier motivated marginal discriminant projections （NN-MDP）. Motivated by the NN classifier, NN-MDP seeks a few projection vectors to prevent data samples from being wrongly categorized. Like MFA, NN-MDP can characterize the compactness and separability of samples simultaneously. Moreover, in contrast to MFA, NN-MDP can actively construct the intrinsic graph and penalty graph without unknown parameters. Experimental results on the 0RL, Yale, and FERET face databases show that NN-MDP not only avoids the intractability, and high expense of neighborhood parameter selection, but is also more applicable to face recognition with NN classifier than other methods.

It is thus com- /putationally infeasible on very large data *** alleviate the Computational burden in SVM training, we propose an algo- rithm to train SVMs on a bound vectors set that is extracted based on Fisher projection. For linear separate problems, we use linear Fisher discriminant to compute the projection line, while for non-linear separate problems, we use kernel Fisher discriminant to compute the projection line. For each case, we select a certain ratio samples whose projections are adja- cent to those of the other class as bound vectors. Theoretical analysis shows that the proposed algorithm is with low com- putational and space *** experiments on several classification benchmarks demonstrate the effective- ness of our approach.

摘要：Metal organic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD) is a key equipment in the manufacturing of semiconductor optoelectronic devices and microwave devices in industry. Heating system is a vital part of MOCVD. Specific heating device and thermal control technology are needed for each new reactor design. By using resistance-wire heating MOCVD reaction chamber model, thermal analysis and structure optimization of the reactor were developed from the vertical position and the distance between coils of the resistance-wire heater. It is indicated that, within a certain range, the average temperature of the graphite susceptor varies linearly with the vertical distance of heater to susceptor, and with the changed distances between the coils; furthermore, single resistance-wire heater should be placed loosely in the internal and tightly in the external. The modulate accuracy of the temperature field approximately equals the change of the average temperature corresponding to the change of the coil position.

摘要：Visible-Light Communication(VLC) has the potential to provide dense and fast connectivity at low cost. In this paper we propose SFNet, a novel VLC-enabled hybrid data center network that extends the design of wireless Data Center Networks(DCNs) into three further dimensions:(1) fully wireless at the inter-rack level;(2) no need for a centralized control mechanism on wireless links;and(3) no need for any infrastructure-level alterations to data centers. Previous proposals typically cannot realize these three rationales simultaneously. To achieve this vision,the proposed SFNet augments fat-tree by organizing all racks into a wireless small-world network via VLC links. The use of VLC links eliminates hierarchical switches and cables in the wireless network, and thus reduces hardware investment and maintenance costs. To fully exploit the benefits of the topology of SFNet, we further propose its topology design and optimization method, routing scheme, and online flow scheduling algorithm. Comprehensive experiments indicate that SFNet exhibits good topological properties and network performance.

摘要：In this paper, the multimode waveguide lengths and the output port locations of a SOI （silicon on insulator） material-based 1×4 MMI （multimode interference） optical splitter are optimized by means of FD-BPM （finite difference - beam propagation method）. An improved 1×4 MMI optical splitter is designed. Compared with an usual optical splitter, a smaller loss 0. 12dB and a better output port power uniformity 0.11dB are achieved for the optical signal transmission.

摘要：The spin-dependent electronic transport properties of a zigzag zinc oxide(ZnO) nanoribbon are studied by using density functional theory with non-equilibrium Green's functions. We calculate the spin-polarized band structure, projected density of states, Bloch states, and transmission spectrum of the ZnO nanoribbon. It is determined that all Bloch states are located at the edge of the ZnO nanoribbon. The spin-up transmission eigenchannels are contributed from Zn 4s orbital,whereas the spin-down transmission eigenchannels are contributed from Zn 4s and O 2p orbitals. By analyzing the current-voltage curves for the opposite spins of the ZnO nanoribbon device, negative differential resistance(NDR) and spin filter effect are observed. Moreover, by constructing the ZnO nanoribbon modified by the Zn-edge defect, the spin-up current is severely suppressed because of the destruction of the spin-up transmission eigenchannels. However, the spin-down current is preserved, thus resulting in the perfect spin filter effect. Our results indicate that the ZnO nanoribbon modulated by the edge defect is a practical design for a spin filter.

摘要：In this paper, a new analysis and design method for proportional-integrative-derivative （PID） tuning is proposed based on controller scaling analysis. Integral of time absolute error （ITAE） index is minimized for specified gain and phase margins （GPM） constraints, so that the transient performance and robustness are both satisfied. The requirements on gain and phase margins are ingeniously formulated by real part constraints （RPC） and imaginary part constraints （IPC）. This set of new constraints is simply related with three parameters and decoupling of the remaining four unknowns, including three controller parameters and the gain margin, in the nonlinear and coupled characteristic equation simultaneously. The formulas of the optimal GPM-PID are derived based on controller scaling analysis. Finally, this method is applied to liquid level control of coke fractionation tower, which demonstrate that the proposed method provides better disturbance rejection and robust tracking performance than some commonly used PID tuning methods.
